Totally unacceptable as everything advertise was not available
Pros:

The location was good for us and the breakfast was amazing and staffed in the morning

Cons:

I’ve booked a family suites for £140 which stated there was three guests sleeping on arrival. There was no BIRD for my son who is 13 but 6 foot tall and he was offered a fold Out bed which was horrendous and laid up on the floor which I can gladly send photos to show this point of view I find incredibly hard to understand why you would advertise a room for three people for £140 when it’s actually not it’s a fold up bed that nobody could have a sleep on I ended up sleeping right when I say sleep, I did not get any sleep.
I chose this room due to the fact has a spa bath on arrival. We were told the spa bath isn’t working and nothing will be done to sort it in any way shape before..
I’m very happy to spend money on good food. I spent £215 on a meal for three of us with one alcoholic drink which was a bottle of wine which was placed upon a table by the way as he walked off no way shape formed did he uncorked a bottle or lettuce taste it which I found most inappropriate as we waited 25 minutes to be served and then 25 minutes for the first drink I find this unacceptable . The food was mediocre at very best. We put this room due to fact we could use the spa so we booked in to go to spa at 8 o’clock to use the steam room sauna and Jacuzzi on arrival. They didn’t open it until 8:30 which meant the Jacuzzi steam room and sauna was out of action for a good hour until they heated up once again advertise something we could not use totally unacceptable. I will not stay here again and I will advise people not to stay here. Never have I experienced such poor level of quality of service and amenities if you book a three bedroom room you expect for three people to be able to sleep in a comfortable bed not a foldaway bed that looks like a camping bed not acceptable in it anyway .
One of the main points of going there was to use the facilities which we were unable to do, but also for my wife and I enjoy the lounge bar known as a Celtic bar that’s on arrival was told it was closed

Pros:

Really lovely Breakfast

Cons:

We stayed outside in the lodges, comfy bed but our door was next to the entrance door it drove us crazy not really a relaxing weekend without kids and upstairs was pacing all night and door opening and shutting from 6am. Was more shattered 😲 when I left.

Drinks way to exspensive too.

Off milk in the room too wasnt great in the morning then said we had to wait half hour for someone to drop some off not great.

Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

DO NOT STAY AT Cambridge Quy Mill Hotel and Spa Best Western Hotels & Resorts --- THE MANAGEMENT AND STAFF LACK BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND THE HOTEL WILL CHARGE YOU TWICE FOR THE SHAMBOLIC EXPERIENCE ---

Oliver Charles St John Hoare and William Robert Stanton of Quy Mill Hotel & Spa, Cambridge

Please be advised your hotel is acting fraudulently. I stayed and E-paid for a room at your hotel last weekend. Was checked in and gave my credit card details - upon checkout I was advised that a room and breakfast needed to be paid for.

I showed the receptionist my receipt for the payment taken by your hotel the Thursday before my stay.

She took a picture of it and said she would deal with it.

Her way of 'dealing with it' was to charge my card as soon as I had left.

Your manager Ben was uninterested in helping he dismissed me saying he was too busy. Your receptionist told me she 'was following the hotels s processes'

Please explain to me why you think it is acceptable to take payment before arrival - check the guest into a different room which is not paid for (and frankly inferior to the room expected - that is a whole different issue) - then blatantly charge them again.

Your staff and managers are appallingly and I will not deal with them.

Please contact me urgently to arrange a call to discuss how you are going to put this right.

Pros:

Good

Cons:

Very disappointed with my stay.

Firstly, we chose this trip to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I had requested chocolates to be arranged in the room on arrival, which the hotel confirmed would be done. Unfortunately, this didn’t happen on either night, which was very disappointing and took away from what should have been a special occasion.

I will say that the food was good and something I couldn’t fault.

However, the spa facilities were also disappointing. The jacuzzi was out of order on Saturday morning due to maintenance, and the sauna door wasn’t functioning properly, allowing heat to escape. During a swim, we also encountered two wasps floating in the pool, which was quite off-putting.

The gym itself was well-equipped, but there were visible cobwebs and dust higher up on the walls, suggesting it hasn’t been thoroughly cleaned or regularly monitored.

Another issue was the parking charge of £10.50 per day. I found this quite surprising, especially when already paying to stay at the hotel. I travel frequently for work and haven’t experienced this elsewhere.

Overall, while the rooms were nice and the food was good, the experience as a whole was disappointing and did not meet expectations

Mainly enjoyable…staff very pleasant which is always good to experience
Pros:

Service and attention good

Cons:

Paying Ringo £10.50 per day to park in the middle of the Suffolk countryside.
My mistake for not reading any small print about parking ,but did not think that on booking parking would have been an issue.
If I had booked directly with the Hotel, I think the fees would have been waived. I was disadvantaged ,having gone through Booking.com
I would NOT have booked the hotel if I had realised the parking costs.

Great relaxing overnight stay.
Pros:

The welcome from staff was excellent. The room was quiet, spacious and comfortable. The food was well prepared and tasty.

Cons:

Surprised to find a charge of £10, only on Ringgo for parking, as the location is quite remote and there's plenty of space.

Superb hotel in a beautifully restored mill with excellent spa facilities
Pros:

We were in room 3 which was a beautiful large bedroom tastefully furnished, with unexpected extras like bottled water and coffee pods. Very large bathroom with jacuzzi bath, bidet, and good working shower. Spotlessly clean. Meals were exceptional and staff superb - giving us excellent recommendations for choices. The spa was very well equipped with nice hot sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi. The pool was clean and a good size. Lovely countryside and garden views from our bedroom and from the spa.

Cons:

Nothing

My visit
Pros:

The location is very comfortable, nice, and quiet. Rabbits are running around, probably left over from Easter.

Rooms are okay. I also like the extra space in the garden. When it's warm, you can go outside and drink coffee.

The swimming pool, sauna, and jacuzzi were okay.

Cons:

Breakfast - there could be more choice, or at least a standard English breakfast could be included in the continental and be like a buffet, free to pick up whatever you like. Also, having some porridge would be nice.

It was a bit cold in the restaurant in the morning, so I barely finished my breakfast and ran back to the room.
