Chelsea Hotel - Central Area

Hotelli sijaitsee vilkkaan kauppakadun varrella, josta löytyy kaikkea ostettavaa, ruokaa, parturia ym. Muuten ympäristö on slummimainen, mutta jotenkin kotoisan tuntuinen. Hotellilla oli varaus, mutta ei tietoa aamiaisista. Samoin englanninkielen puute henkilökunnalla, teki vaikeaksi kommunikoinnin ja tilaamisen ravintolassa. Hotellihuone ja pesuhuone olivat ok, lämmintä vettä suihkussa, ilmastointi, ei jääkaappia eikä vedenkeitintä. Ruoka oli hyvää.

Vastaanotto ei ollut mukava. Kahden hengen huoneeseen kuuluu vain yksi aamiainen eikä yhtään ymmärrystä. Ainakin ilmoituksissa pitäisi olla selvästi sanottuna asiat! Erikoisesti miesvirkailijat vastaanotossa käyttäytyivät hyvin ylimielisesti minua, naista kohtaan, joka olin varannut huoneen. He alkoivat puhumaan miehelleni ja sivuuttivat minut ja naureskelivat päälle it- managerin kanssa. Joten tämä käytös vaikutti koko ajan kokemukseen negatiivisesti. Aamiainen oli hyvä. Huone siisti, mutta vuode liian kova. Suihkusta tuli lämmintä vettä. Jääkaappi ja vedenkeitin hyvät. Mutta kahden hengen executive huoneeseen tulee aina vain yksi kpl esim. pyyhkeitä, kuppeja, pesuaineita jne. Aina joutuupyytämään lisää toisellematnustajalle kaikkea. Alue rauhallinen, kallis hotellin taksi. Uima- allas ja allas baari kivat, sekä gym.

The hotel is located in a beautiful section of the central business district. However, the property has seen better days. It is presently in dire need of renovation. The bathroom in the panoramic room is an odious sight, with a filthy looking ring around the bathtub [I have pictures to prove it]. The carpets in the hallways are badly worn, (torn in some places) and in need of replacement, not just steam cleaning. The restaurant does not meet international standards. The food is, but only local cuisine is served. Also, do not expect to be handed a menu, as that is not available.

At the price of N100,000.00 per night, this place is a waste of money. I wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone.

this hotel is old and in disrepair , the photos online paint a false image of a beautiful clean hotel this was not the case. shower , phones dont work. carpets are old , wall papers falling apart etc. too many to list. they need an upgrade desperately!

First of all, they claimed they couldn’t find my booking until 9pm. Then they said cos Hotels.com has taken it own commission, they can’t give me a deluxe room even though that is what I paid for. They gave me a standard room with weird bathroom.
Then they refused to give me WiFi, or Breakfast.

Pillow.

The first room I check in to had power problems so I had to relocate to another room.They could not reprogram the room keys for two days, so the porter had to open my door every time I left my room. Finally, their International POS device was not working when I checked out so I has to go and draw cash to settle my account.

This hotel is bad from the second you arrive until the second you leave. Receptionist (no mask) could not find my booking so ordered, not requested, me to sit and wait. When eventually got room it was with no thank yous or enjoy your stay, just more contempt for me daring to be a guest in the hotel.

Room on second floor was down a dimly lit corridor and it saw to say had seen better days. Probably in about 1980 as the air con unit, which was like having a generator on the room due to the noise, was certainly the oldest I have ever seen. No water supplied in room nor any kind of room menu so had to get Uber to a supermarket to get water. Shower was a trickle at best and the variety of condiments left was a bar of soap and body lotion. Hair shampoo doesn’t exist here. The lumpy bed, fuzzy tv and threadbare carpet completed the room!
After a limited sleep night due to aforementioned air con, tried turning it off but the loud dripping from it turned it from a generator to a Chinese water torture device, went to go to breakfast. Only one lift working out of 2. First time lift come it was full of a laundry cart being used by staff. Second lift come and people not wearing masks entered and refused to cover face. Observed same people going into breakfast along with others leaving breakfast without masks and totally unchallenged by staff. Giving the infection levels still high in Nigeria breakfast was then a danger! Refund as couldn’t get breakfast…. I chance!
Avoid this dump!

It was a nice clean room, friendly staff and reasonably COVID 19 compliant. Nicely located at the heart of the city. Could easily take sight seeing walks to nearby places of attraction like the International Conference Centre and some of the foreign embassies. However, there is need to ensure some of the offers given properly align with that of the hotel in order to meet guest's expectations and avoid embarrassment to all the parties involved with the booking.

Stayed for 3 nights on 2 separate occasions. Staff is very attentive. Rooms are clean. Bar and restaurant are good.
Close to international Airport.
Wood stay again.
