Pros:

La habitación es amplia, y limpia. Tiene nevera. Hervidor de agua no.
No cobran ni sábanas ni toallas. El personal es muy amable y la comida es rica y a buen precio.

Cons:

La cabaña da a la carretera, es un poco ruidosa. A mí no me molesta. Las habitaciones triples son todas así en el edificio de dos plantas de la foto que ponen en la reserva.

Bruyant, nous n’avons pas dormi pdt 3 nuits et sommes partis une nuit plus tôt.
L’établissement est sur le bord de la route et si vous réservez une chambre deluxe, vous serez face à la route très passante jour et nuit. Nous avions un bébé et ça été un calvaire de pouvoir dormir …
La chambre n’a pas été faite en 4 jours, nous avons dû sortir nous même les poubelles et réclamer du papier toilette tous les jours..

Vi dico solo che la coperta, è un asciugamano. Lo ripeto, la coperta è un asciugamano! Più grande certo, ma un asciugamano rimane. Le vetrate della camera non si oscurano perché le tende sono chiarissime quindi alle 5 sei già sveglio dalla luce. Formiche in camera, le pareti insonorizzate meno di zero. E in tutto questo il proprietario è veramente acido e poco cordiale senza la minima intenzione di venire in contro alle richieste. La struttura potrebbe anche essere molto bella ma è trattata senza alcuna cura, né per il posto tanto meno per i clienti. Evitate se potete

Op zich qua locatie maar minder vanwege de weg en cafés.

Dichtbij het strand, 7-11 en restaurants.

Cons:

Is persoonlijk. Maar wij hadden een kamer in een gebouw bij de parkeerplaats. Dit gebouw ligt tussen de hoofdstraat en een kleine weg aan de achterkant. Hier zijn dus ook restaurants en café. Door zowel verkeer als café gangers veel lawaai in avond en nacht.

Complete waste of time and money
Pros:

Nothing. It was beachfront but just a tiny sliver (maybe 20 meters?) and not a single lounge chair

Cons:

They knew that I came by bicycle but still put me on the 3rd floor of a gritty old apartment building right at the Main Street about 300 mts from the beach. The photos mostly showed cabins and beach so I wasn’t expecting an apartment building on the street. The beach was tiny and already jammed with people. I made the mistake of paying for 4 nights so when I left after 15 minutes asked for even a partial refund which they refused and blamed booking.com which was a blatant lie as I paid them directly. My own fault for not looking at the room first. But still very disappointing. I found another small hotel at Tanote bay that was much better for me.

A slice of paradise
Pros:

Tropicana Resort on Kho Tao is one of my happy places in all the world. It's set around a tropical shady garden. The staff are lovely and it's only steps from the beautiful beach on Baan Chalok Bay. There is a terrific yoga studio near the street and it's a perfect place to relax and recharge. This is the chill section of the island and you can loan a complimentary snorkel and googles to explore whilst you are there. I have been here four times and will definitely be back. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Waar halen de mensen de goede ervaringen vandaan??

De locatie was prachtig

Cons:

Ronduit slecht. De kamer was vreselijk: de “dekens” bleken niets meer dan badlakens en comfort was ver te zoeken. Schoonmaak van de kamer gebeurde niet en liet sowieso te wensen over..... schone handdoeken en zelfs toiletpapier moest je om smeken.
De badkamer was echt onacceptabel. De douche hing los en kon niet normaal gebruikt worden. Er hing een penetrante rioollucht, er zat schimmel op meerdere plekken en de kraan zat zó vol kalk dat deze nauwelijks te gebruiken was. Hygiëne was hier duidelijk geen prioriteit.
De airconditioning werkte slecht en blies ongezonde lucht. Tijdens ons verblijf kregen we luchtwegklachten, wat het verblijf nog onaangenamer maakte.
Het personeel was onvriendelijk en totaal niet behulpzaam. In het restaurant werd je compleet genegeerd; niemand kwam vragen of je iets wilde bestellen..... waren vooral druk met elkaar en hun telefoon...
De locatie aan het strand is prachtig, maar Koh Tao wordt overschaduwd door de enorme hoeveelheid scooters , wat schadelijk is voor zowel de natuur als de gezondheid.
Helaas verdient dit complex absoluut geen hogere beoordeling dan een 2.

Really lovely stay definitely recommend to travellers.
Pros:

The resort was beautiful, right on the beach and close to 7/11. Room was great exactly as described and the staff were so kind and helpful.

Cons:

The water from the shower smelt quite bad although I think that may be a problem throughout the whole island as it was the same in another hotel. The location wasn’t great unless you are willing to ride a moped, but too far to walk to main areas like sairee beach.
