Location, location, location
Pros:

You won't get a better location in Koh Tao for this price. Right by the beach. The view is stunning. At night you can hear the sound of the sea in your room.
Rooms are basic but clean. You get what you pay for.
Staff is friendly nd helpful. We got a room to the noisy street and they let us change rooms instantly.

Uncomfortable and noisy.
Pros:

It is on the beach, the gardens are nice and it's convenient for 7/11. The rooms are fine, I've definitely stayed in more basic style places.

Cons:

This review is for a triple room, it may be different in the bungalows. The bed is uncomfortable. The room was so noisy... you could hear the road all night, the Aircon unit was so loud and other guests were noisy till 4.30am. it was really difficult to sleep, I'm used to staying in basic accommodation but this is up there with the worst. I understand not cleaning the rooms daily but when there is an ant problem the bins really need to be done. For the price there is much better available.

Nice, friendly hotel near the beach
Pros:

Good location right next to beach. Nice balcony area. Lovely staff who helped us with our stay. Cheap breakfast and food available at restaurant. Powerful AC.

Cons:

On the Sunday night it was quite loud from neighbouring bar with music blasting but then the Monday evening was fine so not sure whether that was a one off.

A really quiet new AirCon unit, beachfront location, friendly staff

Cons:

A lack of soundproofing meant we heard everything from the constant road traffic, neighbouring room, & nearby party music. The smell from the bathroom drain is unpleasant, like Sulphur, as described in other reviews. No top sheet (only a fleece blanket) on an uncomfortable mattress. wildlife running about in the ceiling at night. Only stayed here because we booked last minute and there are limited options on Koh Tao. A previous guest’s hair left in the sink. Daily housekeeping would help address the ants. Maintenance is required to address gaps in the doors.

Pros:

Die Lage, man kann zu Fuß viele Strände und den View Point erreichen. Personal ist nett.

Cons:

Das Bad ist grenzwertig, sehr, sehr basic und alt. Wasser aus der Dusche stinkt fürchterlich. Keine strandhandtücher, nur 1 Handtuch pro Person, Reinigung alle 3 Tage, nur dann wird Müll geleert und es gibt neue Handtücher und 1 Rolle Klopapier. Preis-Leistung passt nicht. Wir haben für den Preis schon deutlich bessere Unterkünfte in Thailand und auch Koh Tao gehabt.

Schöne Anlage

Cons:

Mit Baby im haupthaus an der Straße. Sehr steile Treppen. Personal sehr unmotiviert, man musste fast betteln um etwas zu bestellen. Essen war aber sehr lecker und günstig.

Pros:

L emplacement est super, dans une baie avec une plage tranquille et une vue imprenable.
Le jardin de l hotel est magnifique.
Le restautant est tres bon pour un prix tres correct.

Cons:

Nos chambres etaient juste à côté de la route, avec les nuisances sonores que cela entraine...

Pros:

Vriendelijk personeel. Goede tuinmannen.
Mooie buiten omgeving. Lekker balkon. Zit aan het strand.

Cons:

Het was erg klein, geen opberg ruimte voor je spullen.
1x in de vierdagen roomservice, beetje jammer als je het toiletpapier in de emmer moet gooien. En >30graden is en de airco uit gaat wanneer je de kamer verlaat.
Douchekop was afgebroken en erg verkalkt. Toilet wordt nat tijdens het douchen. Achterstallig onderhoud.
Wanneer je de kamer verlaat, trek je de pas voor de airco er uit. Booking.com gaf een >7 voor de locatie. En hoge hygiëne. Dit vonden wij echt een krappe 6. Eigenlijk iets te duur voor wat je krijgt.

Great solution for Freedom Bay
Pros:

Right quality for the right price,
Good position so, in the morning, you can go to the Fredom bay on feet.
You are in the nature, like to be in a snall forrest, so there are a lot of ants, watch out at the food, The rooms are clean with a confortable balcony.
the staff aren't funny but the owner is it.
Our experience was quite good.

Pros:

L'emplacement de l'hôtel sur chalok bay. L'accès direct a la plage. La simplicité du lieu.

Cons:

Notre chambre était au fond de hôtel près de la route . Il n'y a pas de réelles fenêtres donc assez bruyant. Les bungalows près de la plage sont eux bcp plus agréables.

Pros:

Chalok Baan Kao ist traumhaft. Das Resort liegt sehr günstig zwischen Strand und Straße. Man kann dort gut und preiswert essen.

Cons:

Wir waren fast 4 Wochen in Thailand und haben in einfachen bis mittleren Unter̀künften gewohnt. Das Zimmer im Tropikana war vergleichsweise schlecht ausgestattet. Das Zimmer war halb so groß wie angegeben und es war nicht sauber (Staubfäden und Spinnweben). Einen Schrank gab es nicht und diverse Gegenstände müssten mal ausgetauscht werden (Wasserhahn, Spiegel). Das Personal haben wir, im Gegensatz zu anderen Unterkünften als nicht wirklich freundlich wahrgenommen.
Geht man aber an den Strand verfliegt der Ärger darüber aber ganz schnell...

Cons:

Manque de service , des couvertures de lit qui ressemble vraiment à des serviettes de bain , une odeur de souffre quand on prend la douche , très petite salle de bain .
En dessous des standards des autres hôtels du coins.
