Aeolian paradise
Pros:

What a find. A rustic, authentic, Aeolian haven that delivered so much more than expected. The lodgings, nestled within beautifully landscaped gardens and with stunning views, might not be 5 star uber luxe, but they are comfortable, beautifully appointed, and hark back to a time when travellers to remote locations stayed in a real family environment. Like any great welcoming family, the magic starts in the kitchen. Owner Mario, a keen fisherman, says he has replicated his mother's favourite dishes, the ones she cooked in the original restaurant for decades before the property became a hotel. If so, she must have been schooled as a high-end chef because his food is nothing short of spectacular, and amongst the best we had on a month long trip to Italy. Eleonora's breakfasts are amazing. Fruit and produce from their gardens, all delivered with love. There's a Michelin star restaurant on the other side of the island. But why bother.

The staff is very nice. Hotel area is super charming. The room was nice and comfortable. Location is close to the port and center of Santa Marina. Breakfast was very good, with local fruits and homemade jams, bread and granita.

Heerlijk ontbijt. Zeer vriendelijk personeel! Het zwembad is proper en rustig. De kamers zijn groot.

Just perfect! Excellent location, food and service.
Pros:

This boutique hotel was the BEST! From the midday welcome coffee, the view, the amazing food, relaxing hammock, and of course the incredible owner and staff we could not ask for more. Try the black sapote granita - delicious!
It was our favorite stay during our Sicilian trip and would highly recommend to others.

Amazing views very comfortable. Food (dinner and breakfast were amazing. Staff super helpful.

Cons:

It was a shame they wanted to charge 15E for the pick up from the port. It’s an 11 minute walk so that seemed overpriced to me.

Pros:

Staff was amazing and very helpful. We used transfer from the harbour, which was a good idea as part of the way is a bit steep. Rooms are airconditioned, was a nice temperature to sleep (for June :)

Cons:

There are mosquitos on the island, so bringing repellents with you may be helpful.

Pros:

Very clean, beautiful environment. Friendly staff. We used the shuttle service from the pier, and the hotel also provides electric car rental, which is very convenient. The restaurant is very delicious and I recommend having dinner here.
