Apartamentos Dorotea

We stayed at the dorothea apartments for 1 week recently,they are in a good location near the beach supermarkets and restaurants.The apartment was quite basic and dated,the kitchen was small with very poor cooking facilities,just 2 small rings and no oven it was difficult to fit 2 pots on the rings together,it wasn't cleaned every day and towels only changed every 3 days,I emailed and requested a double bed but the 2 bedrooms had 2 single beds in each bedroom,I got no reply to the email ,it costs €27 to get a key to open the safe in the bedroom you get a refund of €10 back when you return the key , the reception staff are pleasant and helpful,there is a nice square about 10 minutes away where there is open air dancing every evening ,I wouldn't stay at those apartments again

The property has 2 bed rooms only which is great if you are sharing with a friend.

Some notes on it:
- all single beds (even in the bigger room, and put together, they constantly moved due to wheels)
- kitchen wasn’t fully functional and main utensils were missing. Spent about 15€ to buy basic condiments and basic utensils.
- bathroom has bit of mold in the ceiling. Glass door for the shower wasn’t easy to open/close. We had to buy hand soap for the bathroom as well as use own shower gel because the one provided didn’t smell too good
- swimming pool was okay, with a nice small bar (mixed info about opening timing of both).
- cleaning of the room isn’t every day and often they would come too early in the morning or too late
- air con was the best thing of the apartment
- small upgrades/improvements would make the property much better and enjoyable

Good and value. Good location. It was close to everything. Close to the beach and Yumbo center. Breakfast good.

We Loved this accommodation: It was a typical Spanish Apartment.
The Accommodation was spacious and ultra clean.
The Staff were Exceptional.
Breakfast was good and had a great variety.
We will be booking again !

Sin duda un acierto! La ubicación es perfecta estás a 3 min de la playa caminando y tienes un supermercado al lado por si necesitas algo a última hora. El servicio del bar de la piscina es buenísimo súper trato y agradable ambiente. Tienes una segunda piscina solo para adultos más tranquila y sobre la limpieza un 10! El personal es muy amigable y atento. Buena buena calidad-precio.

We arrived after the reception closed but there is a number to ring on the door and someone arrived out with our key. The apartment was a seen in the photos. AC in the sitting room as well as both bedrooms. The mattresses on the beds were fantastic and no issues with sleep. There is a hob and a microwave but no oven. Breakfast is provided in the adjacent building, a 2 min walk away. Hot and cold foods available.
Regarding the location, it was excellent. Turn left when you go out the gate and it's a 10 min walk to the Yumbo centre. Turn right when you go out the gate and it's a 10 min walk to the beach.
The staff in the complex and very nice and friendly. Our room was cleaned every second day. Also the entrance, walkways and pool area were cleaned almost daily.
There is a pool bar but we never went to it. We really enjoyed our stay and would have no problem stay here again.

Great apartments, wee walk away from the beach. We thought the property deserves at least 3*, maybe even 3*+ Kitchen is equipped with almost everything you may need, the only thing missing was an oven. Nice, comfy beds. Internet wasn't the best, but usable. Excellent pool and great pool bar with reasonable prices. Breakfast was also great, however the baked goods could have been freshly sourced. All staff were lovely and very helpful. We absolutely enjoyed our stay in Dorotea and would be happy to return in the future

Charming staff but watch out for the Patio Cleaners at 7:30am dragging the sunbeds around to clean ... every morning. Complex is tied to another for shared breakfast and pool that is not adults only as advertised.

Clean, spacious, comfortable, memory foam pillows, excellent mattresses, great shower, WiFi, kitchen with everything you need, large fridge, balcony looking seaward, extremely helpful staff, good cleaners, pool with bar staff that are very friendly. All in all, excellent value for money.

The hotel does not match the standards. Our room was only cleaned one time in a whole week, and you only got new towels every third day. It is not even allowed to smoke cigarettes at the balcony.
The pressure in The shower was so terrible and insane hot water. There was no cold water. There is also insects at the room. The breakfast is not worthy buying, better to eat fresh baguettes from the grocery store.

Ligging goed behoorlijk veel op loopafstand.
Keuken had wat kapotte onderdelen.

Et flott opphold på et bra hotell for en ferietur med kompiser. Fin beliggenhet og meget bra bassengbar, med god service og bra lunsj

Trevlig lägenhet, ganska dåligt utrustad pentry, toastol och duschkran satt lösa.
Skön balkong sydostläge. Fin pool men dåliga solstolar. Trevligt gäng i poolbaren

Veldig fornøyd med oppholdet og spesielt gode senger. Muligens nylig utskiftet.

What started of as a pretty good experience soon turned into a bad one. We had 3 apartments with 2 bedrooms (total of 12 persons from all ages 72-6) for a family holiday. The second day "the adolescents" were send away from the pool because of "closing hours", the 3 were not loud and obey all the poolrules. 15 minutes after they left, another group entered the pool and they were allowed in.
When asked about the reasons why nobody could answered.

The last 3 days. The hottest days on the island with a 44°c the airconditioning wasnt functioning and blowing hot air instead of cold air. We went to the reception 8!!!! Times and they promised the had it fixed. This never happend. And we had 3 sleepless nights. Overall a very bad experience which seemed like locals with a hired apartment had more rights then foreign tourists.

Buona struttura vicino alla spiaggia e ai servizi, supermercati,taxi ecc. Ottima accoglienza da parte di Carlos all'arrivo. Da consigliare anche per famiglie poiche' dotata di due piscine , una per bimbi e di parco giochi.Disponibilita' del personale di servizio eccellente.

we had a lovely stay at Dorotea. really spacious 2 bedroom apartments equipped with everything we needed. central location to the beach, kasbah and yumbo. cleaned every day. we had room 406 and could see the sea which was lovely. plenty of loungers and parasols. will return soon

Cannot fault these amazing apartments. Spotlessly clean. Good sized. Everything you need for self catering. Lady on reception was just amazing gave us so much info was very friendly and her customer service was exceptional. Their Covid practices were brilliant and followed. Also the pool bar was great and again super customer service from the lady there. Highly recommended and would definitely go back.

At 2 star we weren’t expecting much, but were very pleasantly surprised.

As a family of 4 we got a large living room with TV, 2 bedrooms, a small but useable balcony, large bathroom, and well equipped kitchen.

Pool is small and generally there were too many people in it for us to consider getting in post Covid 19, but if you go early or late in the day it’s quieter.

Air con was fine during 32 degree weather

Location a massive plus, being only a 6 minute walk away from the beach.

Nice budget accommodation which was clean, comfortable and excellently located.
