Breakfast was good. The location was easy to find. Nice place to visit.
The queen beds seemed more like a full size bed. Plus there is no elevator.

On 28 May I booked a hotel: The Northland Inn and Suites, in Roseau.
Booking number: 52708489'7
Phone: +1 218-463-9444
Price: C$
Travelling for the first time in Canada with a rental car, we didn’t realize there were two hotels with the same name. One in the US and the other in Canada.
That afternoon, when we are driving to the hotel, our cell phone reception was not good and I could not remember the name of the hotel.
We drove from Sudbury toward Roseau, and managed to find the hotel when we arrived in Parry Sound.
When we arrived at the hotel, we gave the receptionist our booking number, but it was not in their system.
She was extremely helpful, and very friendly, and took a look at our reservation, and helped us realize that the hotel we booked was actually in the US. They were able to make an exception for us and find us a room for the evening.
They also phoned the other Northland Inn in the US to ask if we would be able to get a refund on our reservation. It’s unfortunate that the hotel in the US wasn’t more understanding, but we were grateful for all the help we received from the Northland Inn and Suites.
Friday breakfast featured pork sausages that had been thrown in the fridge and re-nuked several days over -- they were tougher than shoe leather and I tossed them. Saturday's were more edible. I could not figure out how the heating/AC worked and I spent part of both nights shivering. (On the plus side, the coffee and muffins were good.) Worst of all, though, was that Booking.com claimed that my reservation was fully cancellable until 6/10/26, and Norland refused to honor that guarantee. I had hoped to change my reservation to a room with two beds to share with a friend, but Norland's failure to honor cost me an extra $140 including taxes, and I wonder if they'll read this and do anything about this issue. Some things about the property were nice, but I won't return to a lodging that I can't trust to do business professionally.
See above.
The breakfast left a little bit to be desired waffles did not get cooked completely. Potatoes were always cold and rubbery.
Very friendly staff. Very accommodating for using the pool and meeting room for our group. Thankyou so much. Also need to sleep in recliner was very happy they have them in rooms.
Bed was a little on the high side for short person. Would like to see fresh fruit for breakfast. Overall good.
It was good
The handicapped shower
The bathroom was upgraded nicely.
We stayed at this property a year ago while it was being refurbished and thought it would be so very nice now. We were dissapointed that there was no longer a coffee maker in the room. One of us had to get dressed and get coffee from the breakfast area and take it back to the room. The furniture was not replaced and upgraded and most of the pieces were in bad condition. The sofa and chair had pet hair on them. I don't know if our room was a pet friendly room or if the furniture had at one time been used in such room.
