The experience is always absolutely wonderful! I travel there every month for business, and the staff is truly amazing and incredibly attentive. There’s a young man at the front desk during the night who couldn’t be kinder, he always takes such great care of me as a frequent traveler. He even makes me a coffee at night, which I really appreciate and also the staff at the breakfast is amazing!
There are a great many 4-star boutique hotels in Paris, but it is hard to believe that there is a nicer one than the Hotel Pas de Calais, where my wife and I have stayed several times. From the moment you step inside, are greeted cheerfully by whomever is manning the front desk, and see the wall of orchids and greener adorning the lobby, you know that you are in a special place. Although it is conveniently located just steps away from the bustling Blvd San Germain, the hotel is very quiet. The rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable, and the staff are unfailingly helpful. Highly recommended.
Charming hotel in an unbeatable location. Right behind the Ralph Lauren and Yves Saint Laurent shops in the heart of St Germain. Metro less than 5 minutes away, taxi stand even closer. I felt very safe in the hotel as a woman traveling solo. Bed was so comfortable, I had wonderful uninterrupted sleep every night. Didn’t hear any noise from other guests. Every member of the staff was lovely and dealt with all my requests with a smile. Had minor issue with the shower drain but it was fixed almost immediately. Had breakfast one morning and it was delicious. Loved the Belgian waffle and was offered more! I have stayed in just about every 4 star hotel in St Germain and a good nights sleep is always my top priority. I am so busy during the day out in the city and Hotel Pas De Calais gets 5 stars from me for the bedding and quality of sleep! I am booking my next stay very soon.
This small family owned hotel is ideally located for the tourist who wants a quiet, friendly place to stay. A walk in the surrounding streets and you’ll witness locals eating and shopping. The place is authentically French, and Valerie and staff are very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are immaculately clean. Very modern bathroom. There are plenty of places nearby for lunch and dinner which the hotel doesn’t serve. This is where I’ll stay next time I’m in Paris.
My wife and I along with our 8-month-old just returned from a perfect week in Paris staying at the Hotel Pas de Calais! The hotel’s location is unbeatable - tucked away on a quiet side street yet still a stone’s throw away from the heart of Saint Germain des Pres. Our suite was aesthetic and spacious with room for a crib provided by the hotel, and the oversized bed was extremely comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional - they coordinated for a babysitter to come to allow for a parents’ night out and even bought our child an adorable music box as a sweet parting gift!
We can’t wait to return!
Don’t take room 13!!! Unless you like sitting in the toilet with your head stuck in the wall!!! Terrible toilet and water stream is really weak. Such a bad experience for the price paid.
Perfect location and boutique feel. It is a quaint boutique hotel, very quiet. Not really any amenities although there is a little bar and a nice sitting area. The rooms are small as you would expect but it is very charming. Perfectly clean and amazing comfortable beds! The staff was very nice and helpful with reservations and recommendations. Very accommodating. But really it’s the location that makes this a perfect choice. Walking distance to amazing cafes and shops!
Great location, small rooms, ask to have a room with elevator access, staff very helpful.
It is a great hotel, fantastic location, friendly staff; the receptionist I think her name is Valerie is very helpful, knowledgeable and exceptional, and great breakfast. Highly recommended.
Outstanding property, location, and staff.
Perfect location for all sights. Property was extremely clean and provided the French culture that we were hoping for.
Staff were so kind and helpful. Special thanks to Valerie, the night attendants, and all.
Would absolutely stay there again next time in Paris.
Special thanks for a wonderful visit.

A very unique boutique hotel that is conveniently located in St Germain with a wonderful breakfast, a very attentive staff and very comfortable rooms.
Lovely place, helpful staff, great location.
Fabulous boutique hotel on a quiet street close to transport, shopping and eateries. Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms, great bedding, air con and lighting. Very helpful and friendly staff throughout from reception to the bar and breakfast service. Highly recommend.
Excellent staff. Always very helpful with reservations. Excellent breakfast very reasonably priced. Very quiet. Great location.
We have just spent 4 nights at the hotel and I wanted to leave a review as our stay was quite disappointing.
I’ll start off with the positives.
The hotel itself is in a wonderful location, which is easily accessible to a train station, local attractions and great dining options.
The hotel is also very beautiful, and so are the rooms, so you definitely feel like you’re getting an authentic Parisian experience rather than just a larger generic hotel.
Our check in experience was lovely, the woman who served us was friendly, professional and efficient.
I also appreciate the staff reaching out via email prior to our stay, offering their services if required.
Now, for the not so great part.
We were in room 16, on the first floor, so I can’t speak for other levels but this is what we experienced.
As the building is very old, you hear every footstep, chair movement etc at all hours of the night, so we slept very poorly. If you are a light sleeper, be warned you may be disturbed frequently.
There was no power outlet in the bathroom (only one that could handle an electric shaver) so if you wanted to use any hair tools etc, it was incredibly challenging.
The mini fridge in the cupboard was very difficult to close after opening. You had to tilt the entire fridge backwards in order to shut the door which became quite frustrating.
The hotel has a policy where you must leave your room key with reception every time you leave the building. This became very annoying, very quickly. We would go to the front door just to collect a delivery or even step in to the front room (just past reception) and quickly be reminded they needed our key. It got to the point where we felt like we were shoplifting or something due to some of the staff being quite pushy. I’m not sure if we were just being treated differently for some reason? But it genuinely made us feel very uncomfortable.
Finally, the morning of check out, we came down early to pay our bill, and head out for a coffee. We mentioned to reception that we’d be back to collect our luggage from our room and officially check out (well before 12pm).
When we returned, someone had been in our room and started the cleaning process (there was also a DnD sign on the door) which really frustrated us as we had all of our personal belongings easily accessible and out of the safe.
Overall, we are disappointed by our stay. The negatives outweighed the positives so we won’t return.
Beautiful hotel in a central location for visitors - great spot for walking to many of the Paris highlights. On a quiet side street, rooms have a/c and a small fridge. Luxurious bedding and towels, friendly and helpful staff, and a beautiful sitting area for breakfast or an evening drink. Definitely a gem and worth checking out.
We just got back from a 3 night stay and we had a lovely time. The location is great. There are many cafes, restaurants and shopping near the hotel and it is walkable to most tourist attractions. It is a beautiful area that doesn't feel too crowded. The hotel is small but the staff is very welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The bedding and bed were very comfortable. It was our first trip to Paris and we would go back to the same area and Hotel Pas de Calais in a heartbeat.
It was a small boutique hotel which was accessible to many restaurants and shops.
The elevator was extremely small and it couldn’t fit our luggage and 2 people at the same time but our room was on the second floor the first time we stayed and on the third floor the second time we stayed so we just walked up while our luggage went via the elevator.
The breakfast was our favorite part as there was so many choices that were brought to us. We were definitely satisfied and never left hungry. The rooms were better than I expected. Amenities were top notch. It was more than I was expecting and then some. The hospitality of all staff were above and beyond.
Great location. Very welcoming. Fantastic staff. Small but well laid out rooms. Perfect air conditioning. Ideal location. Highly recommend.
