The staff and management do not have basic customer skills. I have tried to call the hotel in advance to warn them that we will be late, but somebody opened the line without responding and left the line opened for the next 90 min. Although we had All Inclusive reservation, we were left hungry, without dinner. The staff refused to acknowledge that we have All Inclusive and in the morning the manageress did not acknowledge our Expedia receipt which clearly states All Inclusive. The Expedia Customer Service confirmed that we had All Inclusive and partially reimbursed us, which was great. However, the staff and manageress's attitude and customer skills were outrageously bad or non-existent should I say. Instead of mitigating the issue in some manner, the manageress was quite argumentative and outright rude. My advice to all customers is, please avoid this hotel at all costs. They do not deserve your attention and money.
Stayed in this hotel for 10days booked from package holiday.
Pros:
-rooms were fairly clean
-not too far from the beach 10min
Cons
- food very bad, cold and just not tasty
-air con in rooms only switches on if you are in the room so rooms were very warm
- staff especially in food hall very lazy, most of the time we had to clean table and find utensils where staff was just standing and talking
Overall
Golden sands has very dirty streets and clear sewage problem so many streets are very smelly.
Most part of the beach are either owned by other hotels or you need to purchase seats we paid 54lev for 3 seats and umbrella.
We ended up eating out a lot of the times and some places were nice and reasonably priced and some also very expensive.
Golden sands seems to be popular teen destination with a lot catered to young and party scene so not so great for family. Many strip clubs and explicit photos out by the entrances.
There isn't many things to do with kids, no trips apart from distance sight seeing (buildings) even aquapark in Golden Sands has shut down.
Safe to say I won't be rushing myself to return to Bulgaria.
The staff at Atlas were amazing. They went out of their way to assist and never lost a smile.
The hotel is spacious and clean. Big thanks to lovely reception team. They are all fantastic. Housekeeping team also does great job. Most bar staff were lovely as well. There is one woman who is absolutely shocking. Looks like one of the supervisors who had to cover bar and her behaviour is vile. Snappy , aggressive and clearly not enjoyong it. Disgraceful behaviour towards paying customers. Have to admit never seen anything like it in any hotels we have been to.
Rooms are very spacious and comfortable with WiFi, fridge and air con. There is hair dryer in the bathroom and air dryer for clothes. Big closet ,tv and in general very comfortable conditions for your stay. There are signs to not take food our of dining room ,however you see tons of people doing it and not one staff reacting. Same with filling drinks bottles.
Plenty coffee machines and drink dispensers, but running out quick and staff are not to keen to replace it straight away.
Wanted to say Big thanks to Ivo (bartender ). He definitely made our stay enjoyable and one of the kindest staff in Atlas.
I think management has some improvements to make and definitely need to provide customer service training to some staff. They need to learn to respect people who spend their hard earned money for them to have a job.
Atlas hotel is a UALL hotel with super delicious foods. The variety of foods in all meals were great. They also provided snacks in the afternoon. We got a white wine as a gift as we checked in. The room was spacious enough and super clean. All rooms have a balcony looking over either the sea or the woods. Rooms are cleaned and bed sheets and towels are changed everyday if you want. The mattresses are comfy. The hotel provides various fun activities for guests for free. It doesn't have a disco in the basement which means you can sleep well at night, and you can go to Astra hotel's disco for free. The hotel is well located and you can go to the Golden Sands beach easily on feet in a couple of minutes. Staff are friendly and they all know English. It has indoor and outdoor swimming pools which are clean but a little bit small. In all I don't think there is anything that this hotel doesn't offer you for a great stay.
Had a great stay enjoyed it very much the hotel is very good
It’s definetely not a 4 star hotel. Price was low and so were the conditions. Ultra all inclusive is a scam, just 2 imported alcohol drinks, the others were local.
If you want a 3 star hotel with all inclusive, than it’s fine. Rooms were large and clean.
The staff is polite!.Our room was spacious and clean.Breakfast is rich, there is everything.Cheeses, sausages, hot snacks, pancakes, cornflakes, various types of milk and jams ...Lunch and dinner - 2 types of soups, meat and meatless meals, lots of fruit ...
We will be back again
Really great vacation! The food is delicious!
The service is up to standard!
The pool offers several refreshing cocktails, beer juices and soft drinks, as well as coffee!Enough when you're by the swimming pool.
Despite the many people in the evening at the lobby bar, we were served kindly!
This hotel is one of the best hotels in hole Bulgaria. The services are very good, food is allways diversified and fresh, the staff is helpuf and very respectful, the animation team is the best team that I have seen in Bulgaria they are fun and full of life, the rooms are large and clean, the manager is kind and helpful, at the bar the beverages are diversified. I recommend you this hotel.
I have been coming to this hotel for a few years and have never been disappointed this year the hotel has definitely upped their game the food was fabulous and the staff were helpful and friendly as always. Rooms are brilliant and clean. The photo is of the sunrise from our room which was fantastic
Mukava reissu pojan kanssa. Pidimme hotellista. Suomen hotelli tasolla ehkä enemmän kolmen kuin neljän tähden. Aina löytyi sopivaa ja maittavaa ruokaa. Henkilökunta oikein ystävällistä, poika tarvitsi cp vamman vuoksi huoneen läheltä hissiä ja tämäkin onnistui loistavasti! Sesongin ulkopuolella matkustettiin eli hinta hyvin edullinen koko viikolta syömisineen. Onnistunut matka! Kiitos Hotel Atlas onnistuneesta Bulgarian matkasta.
Lovely trip! Thank you Hotel Atlas for your friendly Service. We had nice trip to Bulgary and biggest thanks goes to your hotel. You services to us was warm and kind. Thank you to answering our reguest to get a room close to elevator. It helped my son who has cp-disorder. Food was good. Only thing was that I missed was having more coffee. In Finland we drink it a lot. But I guess it was my fault because my English speak is not so good :D
It is a nice all-inclusive hotel 4 star a little bit far away from the sea about 10 minutes walking. Staff very friendly room nice and clean. Food little bit good and drink little bit good I do recommend it because not very expensive
This hotel is one of the best hotels from Bulgaria.
I've been visited this hotel for the first time with ultra All Inn. It was a great pleasure to stay in the hotel. All staff was so kind. In the reception desk you'll find a very friendly staff multiple languages speaking. There's no problem with English, French, Russian or German. The restaurant is great. You can enjoy so many dishes that is even hard to try all of them during a week. It's good to drop in several times during the breakfast, lunch and dinner because every hour new dishes are served. Continuously you can also enjoy a variety of drinks. The same is with the alcoholic drinks on all in. If you can try all of them you're a hero. In the 🏨 you'll find two swimming pools, jacuzzi, gym and a lot of fun. Above all there's sheltered terrace and pool bar. The animation team with Zoe, Richie, Mini and Monitoring are the best and they're doing everything to make you fun. You gave about 200m to the beach. Atlas 🏨 made agreement with Asters hotel so you can use their beach area with about 50% discounts. Remember to take a ticket in the reception early morning. The Atlas hotel for me is a highly recommended resort with a EU standars as 3+ * but in Bulgaria is marked as 4*.
Thanks to the whole hotel team we have spent pleasant time at this amazing, beautiful place!! The hotel is very clean and the staff was really friendly and helpful. I can highly recommend it for a summer vacation. See you again next year! :)
I wonder how people can rate the hotel so low. The hotel is four stars and is totally worth it! Me and my family had a very good holiday in this hotel. We loved the food and the animation. The rooms were clean, comfortable and we had everything we needed in the room (and everything was working perfectly).
We had a great experience in this hotel with my girlfriend! The room was very clean, we could watch the see from the balcony, the staff is very polite and the food was excellent! We plan to visit the hotel again next year.
The hotel is not very close to the beach, but you have a discount for the sunbeds at the Astera hotel beach. The beach is nice, clean, quiet and if you have "ultra all inclusive" you can take for free drinks and snacks from the bar on the beach. There are shops, restaurants, exchange houses on the beach. There are plenty of areas were is no music on the beach. The hotel doesn't offer you a parking lot and the personelle is not helpful. The elevator was always busy. The drinks are cheap, but the food is plenty and very good. The room was big but looked like a 3 stars hotel. There is air conditioning, hair dryer, safe and minibar in the room.We were offered a bottle of wine and water at the arrival, but asked to park our car at a private parking lot and then carry our luggages to the so-called 4 stars hotel. To summarize- it is like a factory, crowded, busy, noisy and not so pleasant to climb it from the beach on a hot summer day.
The hotel location is in the 3rd line of golden sands and near to clubs.the rooms are clean but every thing is used and almost out of order .
Foods are not too bad but finding a food without PORK is very hard!
