Chambre au rez de chaussée, mauvaise isolation phonique et certainement thermique, et chambre très “vieillotte”

Accueil et disponibilité à l’arrivée convenable.
Nuisances sonores répétées ( sifflement aigu) durant les 2 nuits, difficultés à se reposer.

Un peu déçu de cet hôtel lorsque je suis arrivée car je m'attendais à mieux. Chambre vieillote (je n'ai pas eu le droit aux chambres présentées en photo) ,avec une odeur assez horrible dans la.salle de bain. QuelIes traces de moisissures également. Le reste est propre et le lit confortable. Accueil très agréable et souriant. Je ne sais pas si je reviendrais ou si j'irais voir ailleurs

Hôtel très bien situé. A quelques pas de la plage et d’une grande piste cyclable.
Le personnel est fort sympathique, très bon accueil.
La chambre était identique au photo.
Très propre.
Le petit déjeuner était top.
Il y en avait pour tous les goûts.
Seul petit bémol : dommage que les chambres ne soient pas équipés de ventilateurs.
Également la vue de notre chambre donnant sur l’immeuble d’en face

Enième passage à l’hôtel Shelder, toujours aussi satisfait du service et de l’accueil.

Muy bien. Limpio, y bien cuidado, cómodo, buen desayuno, personal muy amable.Todo perfecto, repetiría.

Excellent accueil. Procédure d’arrivéesimple et claire. Très belle salle de bain.Bonne literie . Lieu calme.
Quelques bémols, architecture de la chambre autour du lit, exiguïté. Cloisons très fines. Mauvaise aération de la chambre.

Good value for the money. Good breakfast with many options but medium quality. The cleaning of the room could be improved and the room and the bathroom was a bit run down. I had expected more given the high grade from other clients but indeed a 3-star hotel (not 4) and not so expensive. A bit outside Cherbourg but a bus stop nearby, however very few buses on Sundays.

Within easy reach of the Ferries and the Coast, we were met with comfort, and such a welcome!
The Shelder hotel is an oasis for weary travellers. Cosy rooms, bright decor and bountiful breakfasts topped up by the attentive staff so there was plenty.
The hosts could not do enough to help, we stayed for one night on our way to Falaise and one night on the way back home.
We ordered 2 platters for lunch, not realising they were so large and fresh, and mirrored the quality of the breakfast.
Cannot recommend highly enough.

Well located for ferry. We found the staff super friendly, welcoming and sincere. We were remembered and greeted warmly 10 days later on our return journey. The hotel provided a comfortable bed and lovely breakfast. We requested a snack upon our arrival during the afternoon, prior to our departure the following morning – but were surprised to receive a really delicious and generous platter of cheese and meats instead, served with ‘style’ in the bar.

Un hôtel agréable, facile à accéder. Le service de restauration très bien et une équipe très agréable .

Good overnight stay before catching ferry. Quiet but not far from ferry. Dog friendly with good walking close by. Food good and good breakfast. Would stay again.

Die Mitarbeiterinnen sind sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und effizient besonders im Restaurant.
Das Frühstück war hervorragend und das zusätzlich gebuchte Abendessen sehr gut.
Manko: Das Zimmer war sehr klein, ungemütlich und roch unangenehm. Für eine Nacht ok.

Service excellent, chambre propre malgré qu'un peu datée. A noter: le sommier faisait un bruit pas possible ,malgré la literie de bonne qualité. Petit déjeuner complet!

Parkplatz war kostenlos vor dem Hotel vorhanden.
Feundliches Personal. Das Zimmer war eher eng, (besonders das Bad) und man konnte die Nachbarn durch die Verbindungstür leicht hören, ansonsten ruhige Lage.
Restaurant für Abendessen und Frühstück vorhanden. Faire Preise für sehr gutes Essen.

A lovely comfortable stay and a nice restaurant. Room was clean and comfortable but getting in and out of the bath for a shower can be tricky if one is not in peak condition.
