Please invest in some filter coffee
Pros:

Clean bedrooms, nice bar area, all very tidy, traditional decor went with the era of the house.

Cons:

Only one pillow each (all other hotels I've stayed in the default is 2 pillows per person).
A £50 deposit per bedroom when you've already paid for your stay seems a bit steep/unnecessary.
Breakfast, I expected to be basic, but seemed done as cheap as possible. The only coffee option available was cheap granulated coffee. Please invest in some decent filter coffee for you guests.

Un bell'hotel all'inglese
Pros:

Pros:

The hotel is below standard of what a accommodation should be.

No water in the middle of a shower.

Broken lights. Yet had to pay £50 if anything is damage. Broken chairs. Loose bathroom tiles. Chipped bath. Deplorable condition.

Cons:

Everything about this hotel is wrong. Should be reported to health and safety authority

dissapointed, dissatisfied and feel deceived by this hotel and booking.com.
Cons:

I stayed at the hotel May 22 - 25, 2026. It was my worst mightmare.
the rooms were in very poor condition.
room 24 had windows broken in 2 places and was secured with cellotape.
the furniture in the room are very dated and very tatty.
the chair was ripped and had pieces of sponge falling out of it
we had to avoid sitting on it and kept sitting in the bed.

I went to reception and reported my concerns and was told its only cosmetic and does not affect the use of the room.
On the 23 May I could not have a shower, as there was no hot water or water coming from the taps. I had to go and shower in one of my friends room.
I reported the concern to reception, they promised to move me but later that day I had an email saying they couldnt do so. Again the water issue was not resolved.

On another night I was unable to shower again I reported the concern. The night reception told me he couldnt call a plumber out and someone had let the tap running thats why I have no water , the tank was complete drained.
I asked him so how do we resolve this issue, he only apologised for my inconvenience and left the room.
Again i had to go and disturb my friends in a room on the 1st floor to habe a shower again. This was 1:20am in the morning!

On the morning of Monday 25May, again no water to shower, I went back to reception to report the concern. I was given a key for another room to go and shower. Another inconveniemce for me again. The room I went to room 5 , had a shower cubicle that was so small you could not stretch your arms out horizontal , you could only stretch upwards vertical. I quickly showered and left the room.
I would never return to this hotel, neither would i recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

Also, they have a policy that you must pay £50 via a bank card before staying. Taking a picture of your ID too. They claim this will cover any damages you make. This bit of information was not visible on the booking.com site , so please be careful when making bookings.

A great base for visitors.
Pros:

The lady on Reception was delightful, she explained which buses to use, directions to restaurants etc. It made our visit to Liverpool much easier. The buffet breakfast covered everything from cereals, continental and traditional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Cons:

As it was extremely cold and wet during our stay, the room was a little chilly. However the room was comfortable and very clean.

Pros:

Very good customer service with friendly staff. The continental breakfast had a wide choice of foods and was very generous. The cleanliness of the room and facilities was excellent. A great value for money place to stay - warm, comfortable, spotlessly clean, with welcoming staff and well located for the city centre with a good bus service from right outside the hotel. And also great location for walks in lovely parks - Sefton Park and Princes Park. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

Cons:

The coffee could have been hotter! The over bed lights could do with re-positioning or changing.
