Esperance Island View Apartments

Check in was by text with instructions on where to find the key to our room. There is no one on site as what was reception is now part of a private house. We asked for a sea view, which we got if you stood at the sink and looked through the upstairs kitchen window. ‘Island View’ it was not!
The apartments are based around a small quiet side street and our one bed unit had bed/bath/laundry downstairs and living accommodation upstairs.
Overall it was ok. Fairly clean(a couple of spider webs in windows and on ceiling), shower over bath, and equipped with what you needed, but we had a feeling the whole place wanted some TLC. The sofa had seen better days, the fly nets had holes in them, the washing line was broken and entangled in next doors hedge(ok we had a dryer), and the balcony table base was unsteady and rusty.
So for what we paid and after the write ups we had read we felt fairly disappointed.
That said we didn’t see anywhere better in Esperance. Maybe we just had a tired unit.

Stayed over Christmas Day 2025 and found it very suitable - love the upstairs living area and attention to detail re: furniture and accessories, nice linens and styling. Very 'beachy' feel :)
Close to shops and cafes for walking, and our unit had a nice little view of the water (though it was a bit windy to be outside looking at it most of the time!)
Our hosts provided a Christmas tree at our request, and even a few decorations - a great little home away from home.
Quite good equipment and kitchen facilities, spa good, shower nice, good sized bathroom.
Laundry and washing line facilities very welcome as we did lots of swimming.
Hosts and maintenance/cleaning crew were very welcoming and helpful.
My only slight challenge was:
1. Knives weren't great for what we needed (carving a turkey roll etc) :)
2. Quite a few kitchen cupboards but almost nowhere to put your own foodstuffs etc - and we were there for almost a week so that was a little frustrating.
Would def stay again though.

We loved our stay at Island View, the perfect beach house for our family. The apartment was clean, the staff very helpful when we needed assistance with bedding, the apartment has all the amenities we needed in kitchen items, BBQ and having the laundry facility was such a great help in cleaning our beach towels and bathers. We will definitely be back

6 friends shared the lodgings for 3 nights during a trip crossing the Nullarbor. Great location and facilities. Comfortable, close to shops and eateries with a great view. The balcony and BBQ was well appreciated as was the lockup garage. Great value for 6 sharing and with plenty of space, far better than a hotel or motel. We were even accommodated with an additional mattress. A coffee machine would have been the only thing that would have made it perfect.

Great location with beaut view of the bay. Step across the road to Esplanade pathway and stroll into town or take some serious exercise. Everything you need.

Needs some updating based on the price charged. Security was a bit light, but seemed a safe area. Position was great, convenient and quiet. Communication awesome.

The property was extremely clean and well kept. The beach was literally across the road and the centre of town was just a short walk. Extremely good communication from the owners and would not hesitate to recommend the property to anyone. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Lots of space, parking available
Near restaurants and supermarkets
just in front of the jetty, ideal for walks all along the beaches
and 10 minutes drive from all the other wonderful spots to swim
It was cold for me to swim in the sea but we had a blast in Esperance
It is really a spot not to be missed during vacation in Western Australia
I really recommend it !

Perfect position. A large apartment looking across at the water. Found the bathroom a little dated and wet floor shower water went everywhere! Comfy bed provided a great sleep. Overall a reasonable stay.

My husband and i stayed 3 nights early August 2025 in a one bedroom two storey apartment with sea view.
The sea views were obstructed quite a bit, the apartment though starting to look a little dated had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The apartment had been cleaned exceptionally well.
Although i didn't need to use the laundry, it would have been a great bonus if we were staying longer. I have stayed in other properties in Esperance and thought the apartment was reasonably good value for money.

Spacious and nicely furnished - well equipped kitchen - 2nd time we've been and would go again. Very handy for the town and the foreshore.

Lovely 1 br apartment with generous living space and views from kitchen window out front to esplanade. Private balcony too but looked on to rear of property and other therefore apartments. Very clean and well presented and had everything we needed for our stay. We arrived after dark which was not planned so had a few issues finding our apartment but that was on us as we had all the instructions we needed. Lights were on and apartment was welcoming. Walking distance to the renovated Tanker Jetty with coffee shop/s and also along the beautifully maintained esplanade walk to the Clocktower near the working port. Beautiful part of WA not to be missed.

The property is lovely with great views out (but others can see you!) Very clean apartment with a comfy bed. The shower is not enclosed so water does go everywhere!

The apartment was what I imagined, it had everything a traveller would need and more. We had an ocean view which is what we were looking for. It was central to a lot of attractions, easy to find. Enjoyed our stay at the property and would highly recommend .

Gorgeous views of the harbour. Magnificent sun rises. Well equipped apartment with everything we needed. Really appreciated a full kitchen and full sized fridge. Washing machine was a bonus too. Aside from being a little noisy, being on the main road, everything else was very good and we had a great stay.

Our recent holiday in Esperance was made even more enjoyable with the comfort and convenience of our 'home away from home' at Esperance Island View Apartments. Our two-storey apartment (No. 5) was perfectly located and ideal for an extended getaway. Loved the upstairs kitchen/dining/living area, and the downstairs bedroom was very comfortable. Very good value overall.

Good central position, walking distance to shops, promenade along the ocean and close to jetty. Good sized rooms, comfortable beds. Clean. Great laundry. Plenty of towels.
However, missing a lot of basic needs in the kitchen. Eg paper towel, chopping board, trivets, serving bowls.
No free connection to Netflix.
Some of the power points need to be replaced.

We had a great 2 night stay & loved the position & walked along the Esplanade to jetty & had a great dinner at the Thai restaurant close by. We took a day trip to Lucky Bay & surrounds.. just magic!
Definitely worth a visit & apartment was clean & with all comforts of home, even had a laundry with washer & dryer. Much appreciated after travelling for a week

Fantastic location within a minute’s walk of the waterfront. Spacious accommodation laid out “upside down” to maximize living space with large well equipped kitchen/diner/sitting area and balcony for morning coffee. Bedrooms (only used one) were comfortable. Bathroom a little dated, but functional and clean. Overall a really great spot to spend time in this beautiful area.

We enjoyed the ease of getting to the waterfront walkway. However the traffic along the esplanade (which our unit faced) during the week was not for us. Morning and afternoon seemed to be quite busy. The unit itself was pleasant with a comfortable bed. The air conditioning is not in the bedroom but only the lounge. There was no dryer in the designer 1 bed unit which has an ocean view.
