Pros:

The property was very nice, the only thing that I didn’t like was that on the weekends it was loud because of the music coming from the rooftop bar.

TRASH HOTEL!!!
Pros:

This was hands down the worst hotel experience of my life and I use to travel to small towns for work all the time. Music was playing so loud till 1am it sounded like the DJ was in our room. It was dirty. The service was horrible. The establishment was trashy. I can’t say enough bad things about this place. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra few bucks at one of the neighboring hotels.

Very loud, unable to sleep
Pros:

The room was small and the wall was so thin. We could hear other people using bathroom or having conversations from other rooms. Also, music from the rooftop bar was very loud and it was hard to sleep.

Comfortable and clean with a perfect location

We really loved staying at this hotel and I would stay there again if I come back to LA. The location was perfect, with a subway station just an 11 minutes walk away. It is a big city, but I felt safe. The staff was super nice, including the ones at the breakfast restaurant (which was super tasty). The room and bathroom was clean and the bed and pillow were amazingly comfortable. There are a rooftop restaurant/bar and you can hear some far away music, but for us it was not an issue at all.

Absolutely amazing and quirky property. Staff is kind, friendly, and very helpful. The place is walkable to almost anywhere, and for someone who wants to “do LA” via public transport, this is the place to be.

Great staff, all very nice. The rooftop bar was closed both nights we stayed, so they were kind enough to comp us breakfast one day. The bar was the reason I booked this hotel, also because it was featured on “Nobody Wants This”. Great walkable location to numerous bars, restaurants and dispensaries!

Pros:

Not what i expected. The hotel it kind of run down we took this little elevator to the fifth floor that seemed like it was about to give out. Scariest elevator ever. The room looks nothing as described. Only gave us two towels and one roll of toilet paper. Only one ice machine on the third floor. The rooftop was closed the restaurant was closed there is no room service. And to top it off i was bit by something on my leg and will be going to urgent care to have it checked out because it’s now a huge and super hot. Definitely do not stay here. We always stay at the hotel next door which is always great and decided to try this hotel.

Five memorable nights at Mama's place
Pros:

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed were just wonderful. We did not eat at the hotel. We did spend some time at the upstairs nightclub which was vibrant and welcoming as well.

It was a great location for a last minute event that I had to go to. It was a bit loud but I signed up for a hotel that has a great nightlife and on a rooftop. They ended at 2am which is usually when I fall asleep. So it's tolerable. The room was really nice and clean. Did not smell any smok unlike other non-smoking hotels that are located in downtown areas. The valet was convenient but I just hoped it did not cost that much. Overall, highly recommend!
