Great location on nine hole golf course

Cons:

Our room had a ranch slider but no windows that could open and no air con so we had to sleep with the ranch slider open for ventilation

Pros:

We had a lovely stay. Rooms were comfortable and very quiet. Slept in as the blockout curtains were too good! Great for bike riding and hiking around the area. We are not keen golfers, but for anyone who is, the course looks great and well kept.

Cons:

Only a small thing, but would have preferred a small couch rather than the two chairs, but that's just our preference!

Cons:

Bedroom french doors needed net curtains so people outside cannot see in when the blackout curtains are open.

Lovely quiet location, a car drive from Kaikoura itself.
Pros:

Quiet location outside Kaikoura, with lovely views across the golf course and out to the ocean. Good that they provided bowls and cutlery /toaster etc, albeit limited, for a an element of self catering if needed.

Cons:

Limited facilities on site, shower over bath, room a bit small.

Great accommodation
Pros:

Absolutely amazing accommodation! The room was very spacious and clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly on an extremely hot day. We really enjoyed our stay — thank you so much! Would definitely recommend.

This is one of the most beautiful locations in the country,

The website is wholly embellished for something that is no better than a concrete block motel.
We paid $270 for a superior king - which was 2singles pushed together. They can’t even be bothered to put a queen or king mattress on these 2 singles ..
The ‘kitchenette’ is a crappy shelf over a small fridge which doesn’t fit properly. No bench or sink at all.
The room was a dark hole, with in room lightening inadequate for normal requirements.
We were kept waiting for 15mins at reception with no apology when she did arrive, not content with overcharging (the website quotes $199) they also wanted $20 each for any golf we may have wanted to play.
When we requested to see the room first she was very ticked off and responded with a sigh and the comment ‘it’s a done deal’ - clearly not interested in customer service if any kind.
The shower is a built in cubbyhole and the bath looked to be for children. The bathroom cabinet door does not close properly and the main power knob on the heater fell off when moved - so no way to regulate the temperature except the on off switch.
Outdoor furniture broken 2 seater with a dirty small squab on it.

Pros:

Location was great, well set out, golf on your doorstep. Owners and staff super friendly and helpful. Meal was great at the restaurant too. Highly recommend.

Peaceful stay with beautiful views
Pros:

Koura Bay Golf Resort is a very quiet place inside a golf course, with a beautiful and relaxing view. The staff were warm and welcoming. The room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. Parking was easy and convenient. A great choice if you want to relax.

I don't remember nothing of unpleasure.
