When we arrived, our room had an unusual odor like someone had just cooked food in it. The garbage can reeked of cigarettes. The previous people’s opened snacks were still in the kitchen cabinets and a half drank bottle of ginger ale was in the fridge. This leads me to believe that the room was not sanitized properly before our arrival. Room service would not come around until 2:30 in the afternoon. There was constantly a sign on the office door saying the staff would return in 30 minutes despite them sitting right behind the desk where I could see them. This is our second time staying here and it was the same thing both times. Last year and this year I fell severely ill after staying at here and I believe it has to do with the place not being cleanly. Also, we saw a cockroach on the kitchen table. Just unacceptable for the price we paid.

We had a great stay at Sun N Sound! The room was surprisingly spacious and well-kept, with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to the boats and close to the action, yet still peaceful. The sunsets over the water were absolutely incredible.

We did have a small issue with the door code when we first arrived, which we later learned was due to limited service in the area. Once that was sorted out, everything was smooth sailing from there.

Overall, it’s a wonderful spot if you’re looking for a relaxing Montauk getaway with gorgeous views and convenience to the marina. Would definitely return!

Great location and a wonderful view! I wouldn't say there was anything special or over the top for the room, had what we needed. The pool was clean and refreshing. The grounds were very well maintained and an incredibly friendly staff.

Best kept secret in Montauk, clean renovated rooms with amazing views. Only down side is they text you your door code, but there is no service in the area. Just ask the friendly front desk staff and they will let you know the code.
