クラシカル&トラディショナル、まさに残すべき泊まるべきホテルです。
朝食が少し物足りませんが、お年寄りなら大満足だと思います。

フロントの機敏な対応も朝ごはん(鞆の浦)のスタッフのお見送りも含めて皆さんとても親切で、福山のイメージがとても良くなりました。

鞆の浦で親族と夕飯を囲みました
その際お品書きに、別料金の物が当然の様に書かれており、それを選ばない選択はない様な書き方でした。
あれは無いなと、せっかくの会食が不愉快な気分になりました。
常識では白ごはん（炊き込みご飯➕¥500)とすべきなのでは？
5人分✖︎¥500の上乗せ　やり方がせこいなと思いました

Very satisfied and would stay here again.
Pros:

The mixed Japanese and Western breakfast choices met our expectations. They were very well presented and serviced. While some Western items were missing (toast), this was a Japanese train station hotel which provided sufficiently for the small number of foreigners. I think they did an admirable job.

Cons:

Everything went well - no complaints that come to mind - as a Vegetarian, this hotel did its best to accommodate our wishes but in general, Japan is VERY difficult for vegetarians due to the culture of using fish broth and meat in almost all dishes. This hotel is no better or worse in this - moreover, they made special efforts to modify menus to meet our wishes - this is rare in Japan and was appreciated..

Pros:

I loved my room! It had a castle view and was very clean. The staff was friendly and helped me open a Ramune soda bottle. I recommend this hotel to others and would stay again.

Fukuyama New Castle Hotel
Pros:

Fukuyama New Castle Hotel is terrific. Close to Fukuyama JR Station, very easy to find. The front side rooms face the Fukuyama Castle which is a beautiful sight especially at night. Excellent and very efficient staff. The room was good size, clean, quiet, good bedding, all necessary supplies provided. Well priced and great value.
