Golden Bay Hotel

Mattres cover didn't changed after the last customer checked out since there're dirty, the rubbish in the dustbin didn't throw away, the towels didn't collect to wash for last customer... And the air-cond not feeling cold at all..

nice hotel to take a rest.

Reasonable hotel. Staff are helpful. Probably unsuitable for older folks like my parents due to the lack of lift. Location is fine. Close to the Portuguese settlement.

Smelly blanket plus very dirty floor.Plus i have to wait 1 hour for my room to get ready

Just for a place to sleep, nothing more than that.

The hotel is good and cheaper than others hotel but if you are driving by yourself better not choose this hotel because near to night club n ktv karaoke so space for parking are limited. Not convenient for older because dont have lift and must take stairs

Overall I was satisfied with this hotel. The management was friendly and co-operative. The room size was satisfactory. The wifi was above average. The a-c was a bit noisey and the shower heater and water pressure need to be fixed. The location of the hotel will be a drawback for some- quite far from the centre of town and located in front of a huge dirt square. On the other hand there are some nice restaurants in the neighbourhood.

if you are just looking for a place to sleep and shower, this hotel is generally fits well. do not expect too much

Room is comfortable, staff waere friendly except for the parking.

The hotel is a bit far from Jonker Street, and it’s surrounded by many restaurants and nightclubs that open till late night so that is good for the all-nighters.

room too small. for family too small. During my stay there is no liff. My wife astmatic problem. She stop 2 or 3 times to reach 3rd floor.

I enjoyed my stay at golden bay. staff are friendly and helpful, restaurants and 7-11 stores are fews steps away. There are free parking, how ever only two lots, first come first basis. Overall I am satisfy with this hotel. You pay for what u get, in fact better then what you paid.

Hotel room was fine but the water heater in my room, hot water will will switch off by itself then after on and off the water several times then it will come back on.
During the day there is a lot of parking lots however at night due to there is Karaoke, Massage Parlor ....... etc thus making parking there a problem. But if you managed to find a parking spot (legally ones ya, not illegal) give the Reception Counter the box number and hey will put a parking voucher for you at your car.
For hot water, you will have to go to the corridor to get the water from the dispenser but the floor that I stayed at was out of order. Had to go to another floor to get it.

The room smelled of cigarette. The staff should have been informed about the parking coupon in advance to the customer as my car was fined by Majlis Bandaraya Melaka for not displaying the parking coupon. For the muslim, you should bring your own prayer mat as it is not provided by the hotel and the direction of "kiblat" is not marked in the room.
