My wife and I have been fans of McMenamins for years and love to stay at Hotel Oregon when visiting McMinnville. It is the perfect place to stay when wanting explore the wine country! The staff and facilities are always amazing and the food is fantastic! Can’t recommend them enough!!
Thanks again for another great weekend!
Wonderful location and nice restoration of public spaces - excellent roof and cellar bars.
Staff was a real mixed bag with some welcoming and helpful, some defensive and rude. Service virtually non-existent in the lobby bar and restaurant - we had to literally hunt them down - and when we found a bartender we were told, “I’ll get to it when I can” (there was only one other occupied table in the uncrowded bar). Worst part were beds and pillows - absolutely terrible.
Location. Unique property.
Our AC worked initially but not overnight.
Room was very small but cute and clean.
Excellent location!
Communal Bathrooms down the hall but hard to retrofit such an old building with a bathroom in every room.
Great historic hotel. Loved the vibe and the whole town. A nice change NOT staying in a chain hotel
The usual quirky McMenamins vibe, which I love!
Very convenient location for almost walking to anything in McMinnville.
Our room was very small, queen bed, no chair or little table as no room. Bed was comfortable, however I don’t like sitting on the bed for morning coffee. The bathroom was fairly big with old claw foot tub, it had a shower in the tub which was nice. My main complaint about the bathroom is the shampoo and soap dispensers are attached to the wall to the left of the shower center and very difficult to reach. It would be much better to have them mounted at the foot of the tub. I recommend bringing your own shower supplies. Bathroom is also lacking hooks for placing anything.
We had good food in the Pub and drinks on the roof. Service everywhere was excellent!
We even had a fire drill at 8 am when some joker pulled the fire alarm. Staff came by to help people get out of the hotel as they also didn’t know it was some jerk.
I would stay again.
Location
The booking. Com confirmation makes NO mention that it has a shared bathroom down the corridor… not a problem but a shock!!
Friendly staff, nicely decorated/furnished rooms.
Mattress was very uncomfortable.
McMenamins is a flash back to a different era with an Old West feel of boarding rooms of the Great Western Expansion with echoes of rock and roll bands of the Rocking Seventies. Each room is decorated with colorful details and interesting quotations scrolled on the walls. The hotel has a pub, cellar bar, and rooftop bar and eatery offering diverse places for introspection, conversation, and refreshment. Located on the main street, the hotel provides easy access to multiple tasting rooms, restaurants, and shops! A great get-away!
Squeaky doors on rooms make a disruptive sound to others when getting up at night to use the toilet. Last year, we were served coffee in a beautiful lounge on the second floor, which wasn't utilized this year. I would recommend providing again. The generator is a little loud, but otherwise it is a great value for the price.
Within the facility was band/ music- fantastic no need to venture anywhere elsewhere
Our room was next to a “heater vent” so a little noisy.
Good restaurants neer by. Get to these early in morning.
Bathrooms were far from room.
Location, restaurants, staff
Bed was not super comfortable
