Ants in my ... literally everywhere
Pros:

Unfortunately the aircon didn't work. The room was seriously infested with ants. Spent a sleepless night flicking ants of our very hot bodies. The lights in the room were very harsh and no delicate side lights.

Cons:

I was very disappointed because I specifically booked to have air-conditioning. The room was stifling, a very noisy fan was provided. It was a very disappointing stay. Staff were apologetic about the ants but I really shouldn't have paid for the room. I am hoping to get an apology from them because I have stayed before but I regret returning.

Amazing! Will talk about it for a long time to come! Thank you all!
Pros:

The womderful history. The lovely garden/view. The reception rooms so steeped in history. The sympathic way that the building has been changeed for 'modern; use without taking away it character.

Cons:

Unable to get warm/hot water in the wash basin unless the tap was fully on. Then the water was so firece as it came out it sprayed me & the bathroom floor. As it was hot weather it didn't matter too much but would not have been good if it was winter

Potentially lovely hotel - bad timing - promises not kept
Pros:

Hotel situated on a beautiful estate, well kept.

Cons:

Stayed here on one of the first warm days of the summer 2026. Booked it amongst other practicalities because of its AC. They however did not work.
Can happen but stayed here with 2 kids (1,5y and 4y) in a room with 28+ degrees and staff did not take it very seriously.
Promised to get in touch afterwards never heart a thing.
