Djeuga Palace

Bathroom was left untidy. Aside that, it was comfortable and safe and the food was good.

I attended a conference in Yaounde and stayed for 4 days at the Djeuga palace hotel. I was a little apprehensive about the hotel before my stay. However right from the airport, the drive was on time (nearly midnight). There was no issue of security. At the reception desk, people facilitated my check-in. The room was comfortable for a good night sleep. Breakfast was wonderful with good food ,coffee, juice...etc. The place is very clean and I did not hear about theft or things like that. I enjoyed the dinner a la carte and the grilled fish was really delicious. Next time I go to Yaounde,I will go to Djeuga without any hesitation.

La climatisation à la chambre ne fonctionnait pas, j'ai demandé à 3 reprises de vérifier/réparer.....et sans succès.

C’est un hôtel qui a sûrement eu ses heures de gloire a été négligé depuis certainement quelques des années. 🙁Il nécessite des travaux de rénovation, changement de mobilier et télés qui datent !! Le matelas que j’avais doit être changer on ressent des tiges. Le standard de qualité requis par ses étoiles n’y est pas. Le personnel d’entretien devrait être formé. Le dessous du lit n’avait pas été balayé depuis un certain temps, une serviette pour une réservation de deux personnes. Ma demande pour une serviette additionnelle n’a pas aboutie. Deux petites oreillers pour un lit queen, ce n’est pas très accueillant et confortable. La chaîne a la porte de la chambre avait été arrachée. 😀👍En revanche le personnel est très courtois poli et serviable

Centrally location but not safe

The hotel is well located and the food was good.

However, the accomodation does not meet the standards of a 4-star hotel. The personnel at the reception desk can't give change if you pay in cash, but worst of all, they tried to charge me for the services twice and gave me some bills for food I never ordered. The room was not in the best condition: when I checked in, there were large spills of water on the bathroom floor and the towels were dirty. Djeuga should definitely invest in providing single-use slippers for its guests. Wi-Fi in my room was very slow, almost unusable at times.

When a couple of days after my stay I emailed the hotel to reguest a detailed bill to get reimbursed at my job (the one they gave me did not specify what I paid for), my emails were ignored.

All in all, I would not recommend staying at Djeuga Palace Hotel during your trip to Yaounde.

Not very impressed with the facilities. Rooms and bathrooms were below average on cleanliness and maintenance

Was on medical conference at this hotel. It’s centrally located, decent breakfast but that’s about it. Shower pressure is pitiful.
Had awful experience with the commercial manager. We were due to run a workshop in one of the rooms. We decided to set up but he came in barging telling us the room wasn’t booked for that day. He insinuated that we need to pay. We calmly asked him to speak to conference organiser, as we were just guests. The following day the keys weren’t available, started the workshop very late. Next day, again barges in shouting at my colleague that you only have the room for one day, despite telling us day before we had it for 2 days. Again said we hadn’t paid! At this point I’d had enough and yelled back, telling him to stop shouting and to get out of my sight. For a manager, I find his behaviour unacceptable and extremely rude. Needs to go on a few courses on hospitality management.

Dusche defekt, Renovierung dringend notwendig. Zimmer zur lauten Straße, dort nachts Partymusik, eine Nacht lang Geschrei.

Un accueil parfait et une grande gentillesse de tout le personnel
Une position parfaite car centre de Yaoundé proche des Ministères où nous avions rdv....
Une grande disponibilité et une extréme politesse et autres du personnel

juste sur le plan ecologie: demander si on doit changer draps et serviettes tous les jours! l'eau et l'énergie sont précieuses au Cameroun (et ailleurs dans le monde) et il est bien inutile de changer de linge si on est soit même respectueux...C'est pas une douche ou une nuit qui fait que tout est sale ou alors c'est qui ?

Habitué à cet hôtel, je le trouve agréable et sa piscine offre un plus appréciable.
Seul bémol, le chef du restaurant a été remplacé et la nourriture servie n'est plus aussi attirante. Turn over du personnel : dommage.

Very dirty facility, unfriendly stuff, I just didn’t feel welcome being there.

Très bon hôtel avec piscine et fitness. Bien placé dans le centre de Yaoundé et proche du seul centre pour faire les tests PCR (palais des sports).

High priced hotel that doesn’t fit the expectations. AC was not working in the whole building so you could smell mold coming out of it.
In general the hotel could really use some maintenance.
Staff is friendly but very slow. Location is ok but also very noisy.

Best thing was the bed. Super comfortable!

Little expensive

L'amabilité du personnel et la proximité du centre ville.

Easy check-in, friendly staff. The room is less than basic, no coffee maker, no fridge, nothing else than just a bed, pillows, table, and lamp. But it was clean and quiet.
The entrance of the hotel is a bit sketchy despite its accessibility to the city's main attractions.
