Room nice but only small windows open and no air con in the hottest time of year. That is where the positives end. Says spa if you pay for it. I don’t usually use such but where ever else I stay at this price it’s included . They have a free to use out door which is normally free, but I guess no use to users in winter. They say restaurant but you have to leave your table to order at the bar which puts it at the level of Wetherspoons but not at the same value for money. The surroundings and rooms are sadly let down by the poor menu choice and staff reluctance to care if you enjoyed the meal or not . This could be a lovely hotel but sadly lacking the all important last touches that would otherwise justify the higher prices . Definitely wont stay again and won’t be allowing any more company staff to book either . So near yet so far. Perhaps the owners should take a course in customer care. As stated, the location rooms facilities except in extreme heat are excellent. Sad it fails from there on in. A herd of taxis appear outside taking residents to other locations of an evening rather than stopping in should tell them a story they clearly can’t see . In summary when one charges a comparatively higher price than others in the area then it’s the smaller things that matter and this hotel has sadly lost the plot
Breakfast was nice, toaster self service was a little slow, had to pass bread 3 times to toast the bread
Couple of issues with the room no 20, balcony wasn’t finished as they were being renovated.
Changed to room 25, cigarette burn on the carpet, curtains all moldy at the bottom, WiFi didn’t work.
Booked on the day and on the journey received a text saying they were undergoing renovations and the out door spa wouldn’t be available, this should have been advised on the website advising this, I would have booked elsewhere if I knew.
We did get free indoor spa for free.
Location, relaxed dinning, 1st time and was upgraded.
Curtains in room needed attention and under the bad, building work prevented access to the lake.
Loved the location and staff were helpful.
No air conditioning will not stay there ever again. Room was so hot there was only 1 very tiny window that could open. Apparently loads of guests complained about this issue.
Restaurant, spa, pool and location.
Room needed additonally cleaning when i got there, too noisy on the roadside and xouod do with air con.
Beautiful place, nice food and staff are brilliant
Booking.com failed to make us aware there was refurbishments to the outdoor spa which is the reason we book this hotel and it was our wedding anniversary which was disappointing .. however Helen the reception staff upgraded our room with a hot tub on the balcony so very grateful to her

Accommodation would have been better with air con due to extreme heat during our stay, staff were excellent, hotel was very clean including room, food was excellent as well as staff service, spa facilities excellent

The location would be very difficult to beat
The view, the breakfast, the spa, the cleanliness, the service.
Our bed was a bit springy but I still slept well
The view was beautiful
No Air Con, No Shade outside ie parasols for table, no sun/heat deflection in breakfast/dining room ie blinds or curtains not even a fan in bar for staff.
Beautiful hotel, we arrived slightly early and the room we booked was not ready yet, so they upgraded us to a larger lake view room for free that was ready! It was gorgeous and the bed was huge. They are currently having a new infinity pool fitted outside so the inside pool only was available but we really enjoyed our swim, as well as whirlpool steam and sauna! This hotel is fab with great staff! 10/10
