Great hotel with some annoying niggles.
Pros:

A very mixed review for me. The positives, it’s very clean, it has spectacular views and the staff work very hard. We enjoyed our stay there but there were a few niggles that mean I wouldn’t stop there again.
We had a two night stay and coming back after the first night we wondered why the room hadn’t been cleaned and tidied. We were told that we had to tell them by 12pm if we wanted it serviced. This is ridiculous for a room that cost over £100 per night. The manager claimed it was for environmental reasons but I think it was to save money.
The bathroom had two small bottles of shower lotion and a very small bar of soap. The shower was brilliant but there was no where to put any toiletries, meaning you hand to bend down to get them! Just a poor design.
The Wi-Fi was dreadful, being very hit and miss. When I raised the issue I was told “we know”. Well if you know do something about it!
The breakfast buffet suffered from shortages, one morning it was glasses, the next cups and coffee. The staff were run off their feet so it wasn’t their fault. We were told they only made one tray of croissants and when they ran out that was it! The toasting machine twice nearly set on fire twice whilst we were there! The cooked breakfast was poor quality and tasted of cheap ingredients.
From reading this you might think we had a dreadful time, we didn’t but it just spoilt a lovely two days. I did tell the manager our thoughts and he did sympathise but are there plans to improve?

Our favourite hotel in the lakes
Pros:

We loved the spacious room with a shower and a bath, the quality of breakfast offered and the luxurios spa facilities

Cons:

The room was very stuffy, only the top small windows could be opened . We like a really well ventilated room to sleep in.
We were also disappointed that there was nothing written on the description of the hotel about not being able to use the outdoor spa facilities. We onky received the info about it after we had paid.

A lovely hotel with beautiful views, but a minibar or mini fridge would improve the guest experience.
Pros:

The room was lovely and the view was excellent.

Cons:

We were disappointed that there was no snack bar available. Also, considering we booked one of the hotel’s better rooms, we expected at least a small minibar or mini fridge in the room. Having one would have made our stay much more convenient and would better match the standard of the room.
Unfortunately, the restaurant and bar were located directly above our room. We could hear constant footsteps until late at night, which made it difficult to relax and sleep. Then, early in the morning, the noise from restaurant and bar staff walking around above us started again, disturbing our rest.

Relaxed with a great location
Pros:

Well presented hotel and great location with lake views from many of the rooms. Spa was lovely to use, we had a very relaxing stay. Breakfast was very enjoyable, especially on the outdoor terrace overlooking lake Windermere.

Cons:

The outdoor spa facilities weren’t in use at the time of our stay due to refurbishment, but this wasn’t detrimental at all.

Will return, it’s a great hotel but staff need to ensure correct information is given when booking.
Pros:

Been before, return visitors with a great location

Cons:

No spa, which was a shame as it’s called beech hill hotel and spa. Warned about outdoor area which we accepted but then told no spa treatments either when we went to use.

Service was great
Pros:

We stayed here for one night in a Superior Double Room with a lake view. The room itself was modern, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, and our room opened onto a shared terrace overlooking the lake, which was a lovely feature.
The only disappointing part of the room was the bathroom. It felt dated, was in desperate need of renovation, and unfortunately wasn't very clean. There was mould in the shower, which was unacceptable for the price paid.
We had dinner and drinks at the hotel, which were both enjoyable. Breakfast was average—nothing special, but perfectly adequate.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Michelle at reception. When we mentioned that we had enjoyed our stay overall but were disappointed with the condition and cleanliness of the bathroom, she was genuinely apologetic and kindly removed the breakfast charge from our bill, which was a thoughtful gesture and not something we had expected.
The hotel offers complimentary parking, and the location is excellent.
We didn't get to use the spa as it was fully booked, and part of that area of the building was also undergoing renovation during our visit.
One thing to note is that the hotel does not have lifts, and the rooms are spread across different levels, so it may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility or accessibility needs.
We stayed in Room 150 and paid £254 for one night on a room-only basis. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but at this price point, the bathroom condition and cleanliness should be significantly better.

Excellent
Pros:

The full English was fantastic.
It came within 5 minutes of ordering as well.

Cons:

The stairs from the car park up to reception and then up again to the room with our bags was abit tedious but only a minor inconvenience.
