Exceptional Hosts and great choice for our trip
Pros:

Staff were great and friendly with lots of tips, advice and assistance plus able to purchase beer, wine, water and some snacks at the front desk. Rooms are big, nice kitchenette, plenty of room with great views and relaxing pool area.

Cons:

No TV or screen to connect a device when chilling in the morning or night - European AC limits kept the room a bit warmer than we'd like but that's many places there. It's Taormina so you either stay up top or at the bottom - this is a great place in between but did require extensive walking downhill or uphill to visit the beaches or the old city or take taxis so something to consider.

Pros:

Really lovely hotel, perfect location, walking distance to the cable car up into town or you can take the stairs. Walking distance to Isola Bella beach. Lots of steps around the area. Lovely pool and facilities to relax all day. Would return

We absolutely loved our week in Taormina. Residence Terra Rossa is perfect if you want the option of having your own spa
Pros:

Location was great - between Isola Bella and Taormina town centre. Fantastic views, lovely pool. Apartments had everything we needed, good AC and comfy beds!

Cons:

Nothing! Too hot to do much walking so we had to get a few taxis which were expensive. We had a hire car but left it in the car park because it’s so hard to drive around Taormina

Nice place with a great view, but not worth the price.
Pros:

The view and location are good (beware if you are with kids or elderly people, you need to either take the car or many stairs to go up to Taormina center). The garden is nice, with plants and a relaxing atmosphere. The pool is also a really nice plus.

Cons:

Our apartment looked good in photos, but in reality it was dated and had a strong humidity/mold smell in the bathroom, forcing us to keep the window open even in November.

The worst part, though, was the customer service. It felt like they were fed up with tourists and just didn’t care. When we questioned why our Booking.com rate was nearly 80% higher than the price on their own website — after they told us booking through the platform was fine — the owner’s daughter brushed us off with a cold “That’s not my problem, call Booking.”

Her attitude made us feel not just ignored, but openly disrespected. No attempt to understand, no apology, no gesture of goodwill, nothing.

Overall: you pay for the view, and that’s where the value ends. Definitely not worth it unless you snag a last-minute discount.

This experience left us with no trust in the property.

A little better than average
Pros:

The outdoor area is beautifully landscaped with plants, the view from the terrace amazing!!

Cons:

The apartment’s equipment is rather average and somewhat outdated (for example, the moka kettle is not suitable for the induction stove), and there were no complimentary tea or coffee. The sound insulation in the apartment is not very good. The breakfast experience was poor as well (the milk was expired, and the juices didn’t seem fresh). Perhaps this is due to the end of the season, but overall there was a noticeable lack of attention to detail.
