location was good
staff made an effort to help
So, the cost of this floating hotel in the Amazon on a lake next to the Negro River at nearly $A1,000 per person per night is comparable to the cost of a luxury cruise ship. Except they don't include any alcoholic drinks, and the food is very average in selection , quality or taste
Simply, its overpriced: specifically
the rooms require work- we were presented with a recently renovated room, with no tea/coffee making facilities (they provided later) the bedding (read sheets) we average quality and low thread count
they charged for bottled sparling water
the staff require training, and English is limited
the Food is average in quality and selection, considering the room price
No toast making facility - only a sandwich press
No black tea bags- they had to get from Manaus
they used aluminum cutlery for breakfast and lunch
this hotel is going through a renovation, which may never be completed. The workmanship lacks quality control as does the overall attention to understanding what is required to be provided for a luxury stay.
Posizione unica
Cibo un po’ monotono
Connection with nature, quietness, food and above all the warm, educate and friendly staff.
Mattress and pillows could be more firm.
Thre has been a series of interesting programs (excursions) offered.
The programs were perfectly organized.
Very kind guides and staff helped us at any moments and for any questions.
The Resort Hotel is situated at an excellent location within a natural opening of the jungle.
By planning of your flight connections, it is better to arrive and leave to Manaus during the day otherwise your transportantion to go and leave the Resort might be difficcult for the Hotel, esepcially to provide ship connection. They will do their best anyway.
O quarto. Os funcionários.
A limpeza. As mesas das refeições eram sempre sujas.
The hotel is a gorgeous floating hotel in the middle of no where in the Amazon River! All of the staff were amazing and knowledgeable! The food was incredible!
Nothing
Truly enjoyed our stay at Uiara. Great location, getting there and coming back was taken care by the hotel. Lot of food options and activities were so much fun. Special shoutout to our guide Luis who made the whole exp so wonderful. Our daughter loved the resort too and totally enjoyed it. Other families here at the resort were so nice that the whole time felt like spending time with family and friends.
We were not allowed into the hotel. Our phones were not answered. We stayed at another hotel.
Very good infrastructure and facilities. Excellent and very friendly bilingual staff. Good food and service.
Nothing to mention.
Very old, dirty, no one knows English except one person barely available!
Food is terrible, rooms are old and small, and bathroom floor was dirty, flush didn't work.
In the middle of the jungle. Lots of activities.
Pool, service, activities
We received an itinerary when we arrived. The first night we had a night boat ride on the lake to look for cayman and listen to the jungle sounds. We had a sunrise hike, jungle walk with lots of education, cane pole fishing, canoe around the lake, beach walk, shooting indigenous style bows and more. If you didn't want to do the activity, it was fine. Luiz was our guide and he was great! Almost no mosquitoes due to the acidity of the Rio Negro River. Shower had amazing pressure. All staff was great. Breakfast was great. You are fed 4 times a day. Coffee is great. Bartenders know how to make everything and there is top shelf alcohol... but if you let them surprise you, the creations are quite interesting. We had a drink with shrimp and another with smoked ants.
When you take an uber, do not just use the address to get to the private pier. Put in Uiara Pier. We were lost for 30 minutes. Food seemed recycled for lunch and dinner but still good. Would have loved real fishing poles. If I could do this over, I would stop at the Manaura mall and buy a fishing rod, reel, tackle. Then I would be in heaven. The sun is so intense, I burnt while under water in the pool. Be careful.
