This stay at Tremont really disappointed my visit to the Smokies this time😔
Pros:

The grounds were nice. The desk clerk was nice but in a horrible situation.

Cons:

The room that I booked wasn’t available. I couldn’t check in at the time they gave me. Much later it still wasn’t ready so I was offered a pet friendly room which I refused and then offered a room in a different building that was terribly run down and told it was the only king suite available. I refused this room stating that this is not what I reserved and my desire above all being cleanliness! I received another room in another building. It was not as clean as I hoped but by that point I just need to get settled to go to the Event that prompted me to go to this area to begin with. So disappointed and unsettled with my accommodations at Tremont.😔

Tremont lodge is perfect for families. There's plenty to do to entertain the kids and close enough to the park you could walk.

Cons:

Nothing, we love it here. This was our 3rd stay.

The location was NOT what I expected, the drive there for the last 15 miles was totally unexpected, the winding road was close to dangerous especially at night & not knowing the area.

Not crazy about the exterior corridor and the floors could have been a little cleaner especially in the bathroom. Drapes weren’t long enough to cover the windows

An Amazing Family Stay — Tremont Lodge Is Back!
Pros:

We recently stayed at Tremont Lodge & Resort with our family and had an absolutely fantastic experience. The new owners have done an incredible job bringing this property back to life. You can tell there has been a tremendous amount of thought, care, and investment put into the renovation and overall guest experience.
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and full of character—definitely not just another bland hotel. If you’re looking for an authentic Smoky Mountains stay, Tremont absolutely delivers.
Traveling with kids, we really appreciated all of the family-friendly activities. Our kids loved the indoor pool, the outdoor pool, and the outdoor movie nights. There was always something fun for them to do. At the same time, there were plenty of great spaces for adults to relax as well—the two large fire pits (one gas and one wood), the pickleball courts, a well-equipped gym, and a really cool billiards hall.
One of our favorite surprises was the hidden speakeasy behind the billiards hall, which was a fantastic place to enjoy a cocktail and unwind after a long day of exploring.
The location is also fantastic. It’s only about 30 minutes from the airport, yet you feel tucked away in the mountains and close to great hiking and biking. The paved bike path running right through the property connects to the rest of the area, making it easy to leave your car at the resort and walk or bike to nearby restaurants and local shops.
One thing worth noting: don’t let the current Google rating fool you. The new owners inherited reviews from the previous version of the Tremont. The experience today is completely different. This is truly a five-star resort experience.
We had an amazing stay and can’t wait to come back with our family again.

Comfortable Stay and Perfect Location Near the National Park
Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay at Tremont Lodge. We were in town for a conference, and everything was handled so thoughtfully from start to finish. The staff made it easy and stress free, and you could tell they genuinely cared about the experience.

The beds were very comfortable, which is always a big win when you are traveling. Our room felt fresh and nicely updated, and it looks like they are continuing to make improvements around the property. It is also in such a convenient spot, just minutes from the entrance to the national park, which made getting out to explore so simple.

It was a great overall experience and we would happily come back.
