Harbour View Suites

No ocean view but a lovely room. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Excellent facilities. First class dining room with good choice for both evening and breakfast. Lovely balcony for drinks with views of harbour. Will definitely visit again

The staff are great , they really make you feel home away from home . Staff is always smiling and greeeting . Great staff makes this place amazing

Bed is okay,and room is bigger.However carpet are not well cleaned

Exceptional service by the staff and Raju was just superb. He attended to our service request very promptly.

Checking in was seamless. Exceptional service and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Raju attended right away to assist with the safe in my son's unit. Very personable and willing to go above and beyond. We stayed at this hotel 20 years ago and glad we chose to stay again. Great location with a beautiful view. Room was spacious and so was the bathroom. Highly recommend this hotel.

Had a great stay

As a frequent traveler with extensive experience across hotels in Dar es Salaam, I recently stayed at Harbour View Suites following a last-minute flight cancellation. My visit lasted only one night, which may limit the scope of my assessment, but certain impressions were clear.

I had booked through Hotels.com and upon arrival was told the hotel was fully booked. For a moment, I was almost relieved, as the reception area was rather uninspiring and lacked the appeal one would expect from a hotel in this category. Eventually, I was given a room, possibly because payment had already been processed, but the experience did not set a reassuring tone.

Once upstairs, the atmosphere changed slightly. The corridors and room areas were noticeably better maintained, and the room itself was clean and functional. For a one-night stay, it was adequate. However, it is not the kind of hotel that invites a return. While the basics were covered, there was nothing particularly compelling in terms of comfort, service, or overall ambience.

In a city like Dar es Salaam, where I have stayed in numerous hotels, Harbour View Suites would not rank among my preferred options. I would place it around 6 to 7 out of 10. It serves its purpose in a pinch but falls short of delivering a memorable or satisfying experience.

It’s great property but the wash room too small and the breakfast some food was dry ( Idly) and chutney too spicy ( they have not neutralized it)

Good hotel in the middle of Dar es Salaam. We walked to a city tour which was very fascinating. Hotel provided timely airport transfer for a fee, room were nice and service was outstanding. Nice harbor view from breakfast.

Food is not up to the mark

I have been coming to this hotel every year. I have always had a good experience.
Location is the best. Breakfast is good but it can be improved.
Both the receptionist are good , responsive and excellent service.

Staff always clean. Good hot water, good A/C. Not good TV channels. Bathroom is dark, difficult to shave, need more lights.

Good 🔥

We were picked up at the airport exactly as described. The porter escorted us to the 11th floor reception and everyone was very helpful. In fact the porter walked us to the ferry office to get our tickets for the next day. This was early above and beyond customer service. We ate at the restaurant and the food was OK and prices reasonable. Unfortunately the windows were quite dirty, so we couldn’t fully enjoy the view of the harbor. While Dar es Salaam is working hard to improve the city, it has a long way to go. We were hoping to take a walk and that just wasn’t possible without being hassled. The hotel did everything they could to reduce that experience but there is only so much they could do. If I needed to stay in the city center, I would stay there.

A very nice lady at the front desk upgraded my stay to King Executive due to my second visit. It was a fabulous large room with a nice view. Absolutely loved it I will visit again. Strongly recommend!

Very good location, good friendly staff. Hotel is a little worn but suited us just fine.

Great spot to stay near the ferry

Amazing view to the harbour. The rooms and facilities are well kept. The receptionist could be faster in processing the check-in.
