Friendly staff and spotlessly clean. I would like to say a special thank you to Barbara and Thomas on reception who greeted us with a very positive warm welcome and helped with a problem. They are a credit to the hotel. The breakfast is great. The rooms looking out over the sea are fantastic. Swimming pool great and facilities there good. The buses are literally outside the hotel. Highly recommend The Rock hotel.
My only criticism are the evening meals. The small menu doesn’t change. Which restricts you if you’re staying a few days. The three evenings I had steak it arrived on cold plates resulting in the meal going cold minutes after arriving. Not good.

Access to swimming pool.Should have a crossing as very busy road to access it.
Time that we had to wait for Taxis to get to town and airport.
Bit limited dinner choices.

Full of very loud group bookings that made using the bar impossible.
Room was amazing, staff very helpful and facilities nice. My second night on the restaurant was good and the food so much better than the first night
My first night on the restaurant was terrible, I would never serve someone with a steak like that. I was very disappointed because the steak looked like a piece of charcoal and bad tasted
Great view of water. Close to Gibraltar nature reserve. Close to small town. Loved the British feel with high tea, roasted tomatoes at the breakfast buffet, and British wall power.
The description said opened onto game reserve with monkeys etc. I was expecting a garden where you could potentially see the monkeys. There is no outside access in the back of this hotel.
Decor very tired
Lovely pool area with plenty of space and beds . Friendly and helpful staff .
Close to bus stop and short walk to Main Street .
Is on a hill so maybe difficult if anyone has mobility issues
Overall costs. Room evening meal and breakfast!

The pool was lovely, the club sandwich was AMAZING. The music at the pool was very relaxing.
The bed was very comfortable, shower was good, little fridge was good, the staff was very helpful on reception.
Limited coffee choices, had to ask. No forks and knifes available if the tables weren’t ready for use.
The scrambled egg was not very nice, very running and not alot of flavour. There were a lot of ants around the hot food station and on the boards of the cakes.
The dinner menu was over priced and not a lot of choice. Would of eaten there but went elsewhere.
Would like to of seen more information about the days out and activities around Gibraltar such as paddle boarding, dolphin experiences, boat trips etc. maybe some information on buses to.
The room was ok but the light in the corner stopped working, there was a iron burn mark on the throw that drapes over the bed and the plug behind the mini fridge was falling out the wall.
It was charming and nostalgic, the staff were good and the bedroom was a good modern standard
The aircon was insufficient it didn’t get the room cold enough overnight (we didn’t use it during the day) , and it kept randomly switching off!
