Klar, dass nicht Alles topp neu bist, aber dafür hat es Charme.
Every staff member we interacted with was superb!!! So kind, fun, professional! The views!!!! Can hardly take my eyes off the bay. Such a classy property.
NOT the location for anyone with mobility issues, like me. Steep hill up the drive. Very difficult location if you want to walk to town. Also, the breakfast was very pricey. Would like to see that cut in half for what they are offering.

Room not made up until after 2 pm on any day. Out all morning till 1330 and room still not serviced
The history
The room is tired, the towels very worn. Not enough drinking water. Only decaf instant coffee, no regular. No coffee machine. Our fridge was leaking water on the floor.

Die Zimmer waren in die Jahre gekommen. Das Bett war durchgelegen, die Klimaanlage defekt, die Vorhänge kaputt und der Kühlschrank verschimmelt.
Everything about the Rock Hotel is exceptional - the service, staff are always friendly and go overboard to help you. I chose a room with a balcony and sea view - the balcony was huge and provided a lovely view of the bay. I liked how they provided bottled water and extra toiletries on a daily basis.
My only observation was that they could have provided box of tissues in the bathroom - most hotels seem to do this and its much better than using toilet paper.
Great location if driving in but had to walk up a hill from town

I'm not sure what to say.... The building was very nice - iconic.
The staff were....variable. some were very helpful and friendly, others uninterested and forgetful - we ordered tea & cake one afternoon, the tea arrived and so did the cake eventually. We booked to have dinner in the restaurant but the lighting was so bright and glaring we moved to the more comfortable bar, we ordered food and wine, the food arrived and eventually the wine.
Was it because we stayed out of season? Was it because many of the staff were young? Was it because the standards have slipped? Who knows.
Stay for the iconic building - not for the service
Good breakfast and staff.
Not enough electrical outlets in room.
No makeup/shaving mirror.
Luggage difficult with no elevator.
