Large room with balcony and sea view

The location is fantastic and the sea view is amazing. The staff were mainly kind, especially waiting staff in restaurants and bars. The food in the restaurant was very good. The pool area is very pleasant.
The hotel is trading on an old worldiness vibe. That can go so far but if common areas are not clean, big weeds are in window boxes at the bar overlooking the sea. When double glazing doesn't seal properly and the very noisy road outside encroaches on your sleep, when charging cables left in rooms mysteriously go missing despite following up very soon after checking out, - the sum is it is less than enjoyable. To top it off there was one check in staff member who was inefficient, disinterested, unhelpful and scruffy. If staff are to wear white shirts then let's make sure they are indeed white and ironed and if the uniform calls for a necktie and then let's make sure they are clean and tied properly. Not a good advertisement for the first impression of the hotel.

The location is great and the views are amazing ..
All the staff we dealt with were very polite and courteous
We arrive and checked in early , we weren’t able to access our room until later which is fair however we were not told on checking in that the hotel would have no hot water , we had a letter given to us 4 hours after check in .. likewise we were not informed of this before arrival via email .. we were there for a wedding so very disappointed , we were given no compensation or even a free drink ?? The hotel decor is tired , there are large areas of rotted plaster where damp has got In , there was mould on the walls behind the curtains. Breakfast was quite disjointed and food would run out ( as a buffet breakfast) but take along time to be replenished ..
needs a sidewalk across busy road to parking as one has to scamper across, george and georgina macaque graced us with their presence with george coming to our door, very good sleeping with excellent mattress and very good pillows, poor internet but so what, this was a great place for a rest, quiet, excellent views, could hear song birds each day, all in all a pleasant place and the only other thing are the steep roads leading up to the hotel which are a bit bothersome for us senior people.
Great location and beautiful property. Gluten free and vegan or vegetarian options available; and chef made me a special risotto.
Shower dripped and air con was old and noisy. We turned it off!
