Beware of water
Cons:

Strong chemical smell throughout hotel, especially lobby.

Water flowing from sink and tub had a strong odor and was a dark yellow color, despite numerous attempts and letting the water run for a long while each time in an attempt to clear out the pipes ...

Quite the unpleasant experience to shower and wash our hair...

Pros:

This spotless property has to be the flagship of Hampton Inns. It is in the downtown area of Vero Beach, only a couple of blocks from Indian River Boulevard (which quickly leads to the two bridges that access the ocean area of Vero). The property is so well maintained it seems brand new. The lobby was perfectly decorated for Christmas. The staff is extremely diligent and helpful. The breakfasts were fine. The pillows and beds induced restful sleep. There is a nice outdoor pool. We stayed four relaxing nights while visiting family in Vero. Well done!
