Save your money. Motel 6 would likely be better.

Cons:

It was dirty, unkept, handful of things that were broken or didnt function properly in the room, the entire first floor smelled like mold. Overall...absolute garbage. Motel 6 would have been better.

When we arrived, the pool was all green and it continued to be green. When you have kids along and it is that hot, they’d like to go into the pool.

Worse of all - the breakfast attendant used the restroom without washing his hands

Adequate, could have been better.
Pros:

Breakfast was good.

Cons:

Needed repairs, lots of damage to windows, sconces damaged, staff did not inform us of no room cleaning unless asked for in advance.

I will never stay in this hotel again not worth the money.
Pros:

The outside of the property was fine for the most part, but on the backside of the property almost all the windows are broken and covered with a plastic window have not been replaced from a previous hailstorm . Inside of the hotel seems like it was put together from an old furniture auction. Everything is ripped or dirty.. gym equipment is scarce or broken.

Cons:

I did not like the fact that there was no housekeeping, available to clean the room or replace towels.you ask the front desk for clean towels and also for the room to be cleaned . The breakfast was OK, but not enough choices and the person running. It was very moody. She did no clean up the area because she was doing housekeeping and the breakfast. I felt bad for her and is why is was angry .They had her doing two things at one time.

Portland Texas why stay in Corpus
Pros:

Best place to stay in the Portland, TX area for the money. Rooms and clean and AC is cold for late July, that is all a person working down in South Texas wants in the summer. Oh and the 2 complimentary beers help as well. This is our go to place to stay when working down in the area.

Excellent service
Pros:

Monique at the front desk was great. Very friendly and helpful. Her first day and she did great. The air conditioner in our room was not working properly and she got us us moved a few rooms down quickly with no issues. Only complaint is the pool was not too clean but we will be back. Love biscuits and gravy for breakfast and the coffee was good.
