We had a wonderful time at Ti-fakara. Hansel, Antonio, Esther, Kevin, and Cyndy made our stay very comfortable and memorable. Our favorite part was seeing the wildlife on the property.

Beautiful property set in beautiful lush grounds. We spotted Toucans in the tree outside in the hotel grounds when we arrived!
The room felt inviting and bright with everything to have an enjoyable stay.

Was a wonderful hotel with wonderful staff! They were super helpful at arranging trips for us and attentive and easy to communicate with. Loved the hottubs, loved how close the waterfall was and the restaurant was good too! The breakfast was amazing and view from our room was wonderful… daily toucans and other birds to admire. Antonio was a wonderful waiter and made us feel at home every day. All the staff was great, but he was a little extra special.
The only improvement would have been to have better more consistent WiFi, upgraded smart TVs.

Tifakara exceeded our expectations. Such a beautiful property with personable and friendly staff. We booked a jungle villa for two nights within a longer trip to Costa Rica that focused primarily on the beach. As soon as you walk into the lobby you are immersed into the jungle. The room was very private with a wonderful outdoor shower and deck that was surrounded by lush greenery that we drank our coffee and spent time reading. Kevin and Cyndy were both very attentive as the concierge and the restaurant server who helped us for multiple meals was wonderful (I wish I could remember his name :/) Breakfast was great. We slept soundly, falling asleep to the natural noise machine of rain and jungle sounds! Would love to return one day!

Immediately upon arrival… the ambience was incredible. The pool, hot tubs… the food is INCREDIBLE. Local seafood and beef… tenderloin with chimichurri was the best I’ve ever had. From Esther, Cindy to Hansel and Kevin… they made us feel at home. We originally booked two nights and then headed up to Arenal Observatory for a night..which was special for the bird watching and location… but we couldn’t wait to come back to Tifakara. So much so that we spontaneously booked our last night in Costa Rica at Tifakara! Thank you to everyone who made our trip special… Julie and Patrick Doyle(Buffalo, NY)

Emplacement et Style de l’hôtel

Everyone here is amazingly friendly and concerned that you have a great stay.
We were there at an unusually cold and rainy time (not rainy season) and our tropical bungalow was cold, muddy and wet. They moved us the last night to a more comfortable room to make the experience better.
All the staff gave lovely recommendations and did everything they could to make it a beautiful stay in spite of the weather circumstances.

Amazing stay at the Tifakara! Highly recommend room 4 - we woke up to watch Howler monkeys and white faced capuchins from our room. The night walk is a must - our guide Kevin was highly knowledgeable and managed to show us a variety of frogs and birds. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The resort was beautiful and the birds were around to view at each corner. The staff was amazing. Thank you Esther, Cyndy, Kevin and Hansel for making the first part of our honeymoon special.

I echo all the wonderful things already said about this magical little oasis. The staff really are that friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Sofia at the front desk, ChiChi for dinner, Antonio for breakfast, and Kevin for the frog tour. Make SURE you do the frog tour!
Everything is immaculately clean, with one exception. I would suggest that the maintenance crew clear the plants and debris from the handrails along the path to rooms. If you have to use that handrail, as I do, it was not easy to get to in places. Otherwise everything was spotless and beautiful.
We had a bungalow with the outdoor shower, and were initially worried about critters getting in, but not to worry...no bugs, no animals, nothing of that sort at all. And that shower was a 10 out of 10!
Food was all good and I very much appreciated the gluten free options. I also developed an addiction to hot chocolate out of that machine in the restaurant snack area!
Another shout-out to the entertainers in the restaurant each evening. Just the right volume and tone for a peaceful accompaniment to dinner. The gentleman who played the electric violin was especially impressive!

Beautiful botique hotel in a lush setting with superior service and attention to detail. I can't recommend enough what a great place this is to stay. The staff, Sophia, Steven, Kevin, Chi Chi, and others were so welcoming and kind. The grounds are amazingly beautiful and the rooms are meticulously clean and comfortable. All meals we had in the Bosqe Restaurant were delicious and beautifully presented. The evening frog tour was very interesting and informational. What a beautiful oasis on the rain forest.
