The property felt more like a restaurant with rooms than a full-service hotel, as there was very little in terms of hotel service. The staff were aware that it was my husband’s 60th birthday, but unfortunately there was no acknowledgment of the occasion. We paid a premium price for a suite and had hoped for a more personal boutique hotel experience, which sadly wasn’t the case. While the suite itself was nice (if not a little tired - no need for the dusty faux flower bouquet) , I think we would have been disappointed had we booked a standard room. We chose the hotel mainly for its proximity to Victoria Station, but it’s not somewhere we would return to.
Beautiful, considered design with attention to detail & comfort. The staff were very friendly and although there were some technical issues, I'd definitely recommend the place.
Nous n'avons pas pu dormir. Le quartier est survolé par des hélicoptères toute la nuit, c'est atroce
Welcoming, attentive, kind, comfortable
A lovely hotel, interesting and quirky interiors. Very nice staff, good cafe/bar/restaurant. Clean and convenient. We will definitely be back.
The Artist Residence London is CHARMING, PERSONALIZED, BOHO, CHIC and overall just LOVELY boutique hotel. This is due to the amazing people who work there. They held my bags the day I arrived while I explored London (I got in early), one night when my day schedule went long... they ordered me dinner while I was out at a play so it would be ready upon my return (as local restaurants would have been closed), they arranged taxis and gave travel advice (where to shop etc) whenever I needed. This was a big personal trip for me (and I was traveling solo) and felt really safe & taken care of here at the Artist Residence London. Shout out to the little details: daily delivery of milk for coffee, cute bags for hairdryer, and room details go a long way to create the chill vibe -- much appreciated for this visiting Californian. Also, you are surrounded by friendly people, cool unique art and an awesome easy going vibe while staying there. Highly recommend.
Such a lovely hotel, well designed and very cute room with everything you need and more, friendly personable staff and a fantastic restaurant. We only stayed one night but would definitely stay again and highly recommend.
Let me say, first of all, the food was very good as were the pre dinner cocktails downstairs. All 4 of us had different main courses and all were very tasty and well cooked. Service however was erratic and slightly bizarre almost to the extent that it was comical! The waitresses didn't seem too bothered about providing a professional or even acceptable service - things ordered but not delivered - having to ask 3 times for a replacement bottle of wine - lots of chatter amongst themselves... just a rather careless and slovenly manner. I left a £25 tip at the end - I only hope most goes to the kitchen staff and not front of house. I like the Artist Residence brand and frequent the Penzance one. I just hope this establishment does not bring the overall reputation down.
Lovely spot! Clean, well designed, cosy, cute restaurant. Good size room, good value for money. Will be returning. Thank you!
Fantastic, unique, boutique hotel with super friendly staff. Lovely decor and a fantastic restaurant onsite which is amazing for breakfast. Close to Victoria Station and Pimlico. An absolute find.
We absolutely loved staying at the Artist Residence! We weren’t sure what to expect but as soon as we got into our room, we fell in love with it and didn’t want to leave! The mix of antiques and pop art throughout was fab and the room was really spacious with comfortable furniture and plush bedding and towels. The neighborhood was quiet and elegant but just a short walk, under 30 minutes, to all the touristy sites and only 10 minute walk to Victoria Station where you can get just about anywhere. And, then there’s the restaurant - the food was fabulous for both dinner and breakfast. We recommend eating there as much as you can.

A really relaxing, good quality hotel.
Add to that the delicious food and great personal service and this is definitely somewhere we will be coming back to.
