Great value spot with excellent location.
Pros:

Fantastic location in the centre of Dunedin. Facilities are basic old school but very clean and we loved the vintage vibe. Friendly and helpful staff.

Pros:

Staff. And when I called in at 12noon, asking if we could book in early, he said yes and all rooms were ready.

Cons:

Not the best lasagne meal, but they replaced it with another choice

Pros:

Great central location, especially to visit the train station.

Cons:

Nothing really. They have been refurbishing and when the bathrooms are done it will be lovely. They were clean and we were happy, just a little dated. Food was fabulous with huge servings, we could have shared one roast meal.
The staff are exceptional and we wouldn’t bother staying anywhere else.

Close to downtown

Cons:

Listening to the bar on the main floor until 2:00. Earplugs were provided that helped block out the partying.

Great location. Great food.

Cons:

There was a very very noisy late night parties on our floor. We even had someone try our door which we took as a drunk person trying to find the party. The outside doors to the Bar locked at 8pm seemed early if you wish to meet someone for a drink who didn't stay at the hotel seemed unusual . Hotel needs some love. You get what you pay for.
