AAA+++Front of house, staff, restaurant, bar, warm room and bed, highly recommended
Pros:

Walked in a stranger, left feeling like I belonged. From front of house to bar staff, kitchen staff, house keeping absolute legends. Loved my warm room, comfortable and clean. Loved the restaurant atmosphere, food selection and service 10/10 loved my beer at the end of the day and friendly staff and hospitality from locals. Highly recommended. I have stayed at other accommodation several times in Dunedin and this place catered by far the best.Ngā mihi

Decent budget accommodation is a well-located historic building.

Pros:

Cheap for the location. 100% adequate. It reminds me of old school city hotel rooms in the movies - tiny room for sleeping and that's about it. I needed nothing more, but certainly nothing less. Very clean, recently refreshed even. Linens were great!
*not for everybody, but it's certainly not a hostel or no-tell motel. Would stay again.

Very enjoyable
Pros:

Location great. Fantastic vegetarian café within two minutes walk. Very pleasant, helpful staff. Great restaurant with two good options for celiacs.

Cons:

Our room had a broken window frame in the bathroom which hadn't been fixed. Having a shower was not so pleasant as the cold wind blew in from that. However the staff brought us a larger heater for our room so we were warm in there

Good for a stop over
Pros:

Convenient location with free parking. Bed was comfortable, and had private bathroom. Typical pub style accommodation.

Cons:

Floor boards very creaky, little bit of mould in the bathroom.

Pros:

The staff were friendly and the meal we had in the restaurant was amazing.

Cons:

The room was comfortable but the bathroom was very dated with a worn cracked basin and peeling paint in the shower cubicle.

Great Location. Would definitely stay again.
Pros:

Bed was comfortable and shower was great although door didn’t shut properly but not a biggie. Room was toasty warm. Restaurant was great for dinner and the continental breakfast was everything you need.
