Very clean and nice hotel, close to all tourist attractions. Tram is 5 mins walk away.
Plenty of eateries around.
Staff were very helpful.

We were fortunate to be in Istanbul both pre and post touring other areas of beautiful Turkey.
The staff at this hotel are very professional, helpful with sightseeing, restaurants, transportation. I commend Smiles for easy name recollection. All the staff in housekeeping, breakfast and reception went out of thei way to make this our home during our three day stay. Wonderful.
The reservation included breakfast that offered a broad number of Turkish and European food selections. Hot soup and multiple vegetable salads were an extra bonus.
The LOCATION of Aprillis Gold emersed us in history. Just two short blocks, uphill, to the trolley. Narrow streets are closed during the daytime to cars. During daytime hours, taxi pickup is just one block downhill, or two blocks away, walk right on the street fronting the hotel.
A grocery and wine store is one block to the right, same street.
We enjoyed two meals at Glass, just across the street with colorful lights in red, yellow, and blue. Soups, meze spreads, lamb with dried fruit, vegetables sautéed in mild curry, pizza, generous wine pours. A bit pricey, excellent preparation, attentive service.
Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Underground Basicalla Cistern, Muslim Art Museum on the Hippadrome walkway, Topkapi Castle complex, Museum of Mathematics and Science are all nearby. The Spice Market and Grand Bazaar are each about 15 minutes away.

The location is excellent for visiting historic İstanbul, with easy access to the tram and walking distance from major Byzantine and Ottoman monuments. The breakfast was good and the room was clean with powerful AC for a hot, humid summer visit.

Extremely positive experience. We got an upgrade without expecting/asking for one. The entire staff was very courteous and friendly. We had coffee with Ismael who was extremely helpful in not just meeting all our needs but also in suggesting places to visit and arranging transportation. Would definitely stay at again if we go to Istanbul.
Very good, in a nice, quieter part of İstanbul. (Please note, İstanbul is not quite, but this area is not as busy as other parts).
The hotel is opposite a cargo shop. And they start making noise from
7am.
Hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of all the sites. The roads outside are not flat. So not wheelchair or pushchair friendly.
We had 3 rooms. The safe in one didn’t work and the a/c in a different one didn’t work. The hotel resolved the issues by the second day.
Breakfast is small, but nice. It’s a Turkish breakfast, with cooked eggs charged extra (5euros).
Spa is quite expensive. 70euros for 1 hour hammam.

Hotel in ottima posizione, centrale a tutte le principali attrazioni. Personale molto disponibile e cordiale, unica pecca non usano il lenzuolo ma solo una specie di coperta senza nulla d'altro. La prossima volta mi prenderei su le lenzuola :-)
Location is minutes walk away from trams and main high Street where the shops and some tourist sites were based
Staff were helpful and friendly throughout our stay, Murat and Mr Alatt helped with registering our Istanbul Card for travel, ordering taxi and general support for every day tourist.
