Bar Harbor Manor

Lovely. Stayed in a king suite in the Island House, located across the street from the main buildings. Private entrance, quiet neighborhood, quick walk to the Village Green and downtown, where we caught the Island Explorer to get to Acadia National Park. Grab’n’go breakfast, coffee/tea/water, and brownies in the afternoon-so good! Christopher was welcoming and helpful. Clean, well- maintained property. Would definitely return!

The location was perfect--quiet and convenient. The staff was exceptionally helpful. Check in was rigid, but it was busy season.

We had a wonderful time, the Manor was super clean and well located for all we wanted to do in Bar Harbor and Acadia ! Staff was wonderful, great suggestions. Housekeeping was precise and we enjoyed the interaction with other guests. We will stay again in the future.

The hotel is in an excellent location within walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor and very close to Acadia National Park. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We liked the grab and go breakfast in the morning and thought it was a nice touch. The service was outstanding and everyone working the front desk was very knowledgeable of the area. Christopher went above and beyond for our family when our son got sick towards the end of our stay. I would highly recommend and will definitely stay here again.

When we chose Acadia for our family vacation this year, choosing a place to stay was overwhelming. So many options from bed and breakfasts to large scale inns. I turned to Trip Advisor to find Bar Harbor Manor and it did not disappoint.

The location is great. You are outside of the downtown chaos but a convenient 5-15 minute walk to all the restaurants and shops in town. Which was wonderful because it gets very chaotic downtown so you will want to walk not drive.

The staff was helpful and accommodating in every way. We were checking in later than anyone would be at the desk and I was given clear instructions on my room and key so we could just get to sleep. The next morning they were able to print our Acadia pass for the car so we would not have to wait in lines at the park. I also messed up our booking and was told we would have to switch rooms mid stay and by the time I needed to switch, they had arranged for us to stay in the same room. I wish o had names of these lovely people for a shout out but this is the kind of service you would expect from a small mom and pop establishment.

The rooms were spacious, clean and quaint. Plenty of room for our family of 4. Appreciated the large refrigerator and a microwave. My kids (and so did I) I appreciated the afternoon treats of lemonade, cookies and brownies when we came back from hiking in the park. And the highlights of breakfast for sure are the nice coffee bar set up and fresh blueberry muffins.

No wonder this is rated so highly in Bar Harbor. It is well deserved. If we ever come back we would for sure stay here.

We are a family of 5 and had a lovely time at this hotel.
It is small and quaint. The service was incredibly friendly and welcoming and they gave the best recommendations for food.
Our bed was soft and cozy. The AC was very cold and the water pressure was strong.
They had a daily lemonade stand and delicious treats set out. The coffee and blueberry muffins for breakfast was excellent. All their treats come from a local bakery and they were delicious.
The hotel is in walking distance to everything in bar harbor.
We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at Bar Harbor Inn. We felt welcomed from the moment we checked-in. Rachel was amazing and provided excellent recommemdations. The rooms were clean amd the staff was courteous.

Easy to walk to shops and restaurants.
Enjoyed the lemonade, continental breakfast offerings and afternoon baked goods.

The property is close to downtown and within walking distance of restaurants and the waterfront, Nice pastry for breakfast

This lodging facility has many wonderful qualities, but its greatest selling point is Christopher! He is a local and an innkeeper at the manor, and his honest, thoughtful, and knowledgeable recommendations for where to eat and what to do truly helped make our trip to Bar Harbor amazing.
The location is perfect, with almost everything within a short 4- to 15-minute walk. The coffee in the lobby was delicious—and honestly a little addictive! We also really enjoyed the continental breakfast and the midday snacks.
The only area where I would suggest improvement is the room itself. We stayed in a suite, which offered plenty of space and was definitely a plus. However, each time I walked in, I noticed a musty smell. It did seem to fade after being in the room for a while, but it was noticeable at first. I think updating or refreshing the suites would make the stay even more enjoyable and bring the rooms up to the same high standard as the service, location, and overall guest experience.
