Pros:

За свою цену нормально. Но, могло быть лучше.

Cons:

Грязновато в номере, не дают гигенические наборы, пришлось выпрашивать. И не ставят воду, тоже пришлось выпрашивать.

Mildly disappointing for a Holiday Inn... expected more.
Pros:

The location was great if you don't care if you're on the water (I didn't). The rooms were also extremely nice on the inside.

Cons:

If you state you have 'air-conditioning', maybe put that it doesn't work in the 'cold months'. It was 24C outside and there was heat on in the hotel. When I asked why my air wouldn't work, it took an hour to discover (due to the poorer command of English at reception) that it doesn't work in 'cold' season. This involved two maintenance men coming to my room with a ladder to go up into the ceiling because the woman at reception didn't understand the issue because of a language barrier. Not her fault... this should be explained at the time of booking. This required me to open windows, which allowed in dirty air and tons of traffic noise.

The breakfast was really bad. I was upgraded and given a free breakfast, which I was delighted about, but baked chicken and arrays of vegetables at breakfast are fine, so long as there are other hot items that may cater to the people who don't want dinner foods at breakfast. I stayed in another hotel in Aktau before this and their breakfast (equally as atrocious) had completely different types of items on it, so I know this isn't a cultural thing (I used to live in Kazakhstan, as well). I understand not putting pork on there due to the region, but just something that would appeal to the masses would be nice :) The coffee machine and workers at breakfast were so nice though (and spoke impeccable English).
