Mosvold Villa

Everything was exceptional from the minute we walked in. The staff were great, the room clean and spacious and everything in between. We realised the ports were American and called reception and they straight away brought us an adaptor. There was also a turn down service which is not something we had experienced before, water topped up, bed made again, chocolates… could not fault this place at all

Everything was absolutely amazing! Property is gorgeous, staff were lovely and very attentive and the overall experience was top notch. Would absolutely recommend staying here!!

I had such an amazing stay at Mosvold Villa, genuinely one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in.

Everything from the rooms to the food to the overall atmosphere was 10/10, but what really made it special was the staff. Everyone was so kind, welcoming and genuinely attentive, and they went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay.

The room itself is beautiful and so peaceful, with some of the best views of the beach, and it’s the perfect place to relax and switch off. The food was also incredible. I looked forward to every meal.

You can really feel the care and thought that goes into everything here, and it made such a difference to my trip. I’m genuinely sad to be leaving and would 100% come back.

Beautiful beachfront property with a calm, luxurious vibe. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-designed with lovely ocean views. Direct beach access was a big highlight. Staff were polite and attentive, making the stay very comfortable. Breakfast was also good with nice vegetarian options. Overall, a relaxing and premium stay.

This hotel is absolutely incredible, the best we stayed in across our travels in Sri Lanka. I can’t praise it enough.
It is a very luxury boutique hotel but completely worth the cost, and in my view good value for money (compared to what some other less impressive places cost).
The rooms are big and lovely, modern. Very clean. Beds so comfy. The views from the balconies - which go all across the front of the villa - are gorgeous. In fact, the views from the entire property are amazing.
The pool is very good - big and clean. The sunbeds are super comfortable, well maintained, with mattresses and cushions - all clean.
The beach is beautiful. You will see some amazing sunrises and sunsets from this side.
The grounds of the villa are kept perfect. The koi carp pool is amazing - you can watch them forever!
The food was exquisite - the breakfasts are cooked to order which is special and very different to the buffet style of other places - there was good choice and it was delicious. The restaurant food was great, we especially loved the sushi and sashimi it was outstanding.

Everything at Mosvold Villa generally just feels very special and thought about carefully. Many small touches to appreciate.
It’s a great location and the noise from the road simply cannot be heard when you are in the villa, it also can’t be heard when you are in the bedrooms as they have internal doors blocking any sound. You feel totally secluded at Mosvold Villa

The beach, the rooms were amazing!

The property was gorgeous and was way nicer than the pictures let on. The staff were amazing and we especially liked the complementary oceanside. The property is right on kabalana beach which has tons of surf schools for lessons and is a short walk or tuk tuk to the main town.

The fabulous location right on the beach, the quality of the breakfast, especially the fruit platters, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Special mention to the ladies in the spa, because the massages we had were first class. Reliable WiFi too. There were also a number of places a Tuk Tuk ride away for eating out if you wanted to.

Mosvold is absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious, clean and wonderfully decorated. The views from the rooms are also spectacular. However, it is the staff and the location which make Mosvold special.
The staff go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and taken care of, always happy to help with a smile on their face.
The location is phenomenal, with one of the best beaches we visited in Sri Lanka, just on doorstep of this special place.
My wife and I had the most amazing time, with memories that will last a lifetime, our experience in Mosvold will always be remembered as fun, beautiful and magical.
We loved it so much, we booked 3 more times during our stay in Sri Lanka!

It’s location, the friendly staff, comfy beds,
Spacious rooms and the little attention to details like making the bed for night time. The spa and the balinese masseuse were great.
