The place is wonderful. Perfect for anyone looking to relax and unwind. The staff is exceptional. True testimony to the hospitality of Sri Lanka.
Imasha was particularly attentive and was soon training the younger staff with great care.

Great stay. Imasha was really friendly at breakfast and dinner. Comfortable rooms and a great location for safari. Would recommend to anyone for a few days whilst traveling the country.

The hospitality is amazing! The view from our room is stunning. Imasha was our waitress and is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food from chef Miuru was incredible! So much flavour. Dahl curry my favourite!!!

We have just completed a very enjoyable two night stay in this very well maintained and beautifully positioned hotel just a short forty minute drive to the amazing Yala National Park.

As with all hotels we have stayed at here in Sri Lanka, it is always the wonderful people who look after us that make our stays so memorable. And so it was at Kithala resort! From the warm and genuine welcome at reception by the lovely staff who greeted us with their warm smiles to the fabulous tea, looking after the dining area overlooking the rice fields and jungle.

To Imasha and Asanka who managed the restaurant so ably and Yeshmi and Juanita who took care of our orders during our stay, Thank you for your kindness and attention to detail and for looking after my wife who has a gluten intolerance. The atmosphere at both breakfast and dinner, sitting outside was magical.

Our room, 110, was well appointed and we felt very comfortable. Having a door that opens onto the lawn near the pool and overlooking the rice fields and jungle was especially nice.

For our full day excursion to Yala National Park, having a pre packed breakfast waiting for us in bags at 6:00 am ready for our pick up by our guide, was a very nice gesture and an unexpected treat.

Thank you to everyone at Kithala and to Kawya and her colleagues at reception who wished us well as we departed for Galle, thank you all for making our stay so memorable.

Really nice hotel small hotel. Modern and cozy at the same time. High quality furniture and bathroom ameneties. Friendly staff, good service. Dinner buffet ok. Can't comment on breakfast buffet as we went to morning safari, had packed breakfast to go which was accepable but not great. Lovely pool area. Rooms really good. Only downside was that bathroom has small openings to corridor outside (not possible to close), letting insects in at night and you can hear "everything" standing in the corridor or even in bathroom next door because of same openings there..

We stayed here for our Yala safari trip, we had a pleasurable stay with awesome view of paddy fields and lot of birds and awesome sunrise and sunset views. Achintha and Imasha made the restaurant service 5 star levels. We enjoyed this property at leisure.

Excellent Christmas dinner and amazing views and cosy atmosphere. Service is good although slightly slow. Would visit again. Pool and view 10/10

Good hotel and price worthy. Even on a weekday they had buffet for every meal . Clean rooms and pool. Loved the view. The staff was very friendly and helpful

Visited Kithala Resort & Spa in Tissamaharama with my clients and had a very pleasant experience. The resort is calm and surrounded by nature, making it a nice place to relax after safaris and long drives. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was enjoyed by my guests. The peaceful atmosphere and good service made it a suitable choice for travelers visiting the Tissa and Yala area. I would recommend it for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
