Over all we enjoyed our stay. Food, staff, room cleanliness and atmosphere was great!
Pros:

Close to the ocean. The Bothy restaurant was amazing! Unfortunately there was no live music which was one of the mail reasons we booked there. Staff was great!

Cons:

Our room was not equipped with space for our personal things such as makeup, no space to put food. Only one chair, we couldn’t even have a drink with our friends in our room. And no full length mirror to check yourself out before leaving the room.

The accommodations, the Bothy experience, the live music, the friendly atmosphere, the workers, the owners:: Colin and Justin are amazing!

Cons:

I’m not a fussy person.. but I’m short . I could barely see myself in the bathroom mirror in Room 14. Maybe, if possible, change to a lower mirror in that bathroom.

Superbe !
Pros:

Emplacement très proche du fort de Louisbourg. La chambres est très bien décorée spacieuse et confortable, grande salle de bain. La présence de l’excellent restaurant avec de la musique en live! Petit déjeuner parfait.
Accueil très chaleureux!

Excellent- would highly recommend!
Pros:

Beautiful location on the ocean and very close to Fort Louisbourg and the oldest lighthouse in Canada.

Cons:

It was beautiful and the dining room and music were one of the highlights of our trip- so much fun with everyone singing along. The food was very good!

Peaceful, comfortable, nice location but room description is not accurate.
Pros:

Room looked out over the ocean.
Could see the fortress of Louisbourg from the front window.
Very quiet and peaceful.
Had a nice dinner at the Bothy and met the owners, Colin and Justin.
Live entertainment the night we were there.
Nice breakfast at the smaller restaurant.

Cons:

The room was advertised as a one bedroom suite - it is not!
Any 1 bedroom suite we have ever stayed at has always had a separate bedroom.
This should have been advertised as a large room with 2 queens and kitchenette.
No USB plugs!
The hair dryer on the wall has been decommissioned with no note anywhere to tell you about the hairdryer under the sink.
Also, no note to tell you about the rubber bath mat under the sink. The bathtub is very slippery without it.
We only found out about the hairdryer and bath mat after talking to the owner after breakfast.

Sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel für einen oder mehrere Tage
Pros:

Sehr schöne individuell gestaltete Zimmer. Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus. Sehr ruhige Lage am Meer. Gutes Restaurant. Reservation für das Nachtessen ist zu empfehlen. Der Frühstücksraum ist sehr schön gestaltet.

We had a fantastic stay at the North Star. This was our second time to be there.
Pros:

Beautiful ocean views! Rooms are clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Nice to have restaurant with great food right on property too!
