Deludente......quando non si riesce a riposare bene.....
Pros:

La colazione era discreta, il personale gentile, la camera ampia e anche il bagno, con.tutti i confort.
Posizione in.pieno centro.
La camera era troppo calda, trapunta caldissima, coperta in pile. Inoltre alla sera musica assordante proveniente da esterno fino ad ora tarda.

Mantova/Mantua is a fantastic place to visit; we loved it and Hotel was perfect.
Pros:

Modern, minimalist in a good way. Very clean, huge room, comfortable and so well placed. Good communication with the hotel before check in and they sent us directions from the train station.

No recycling facilities

Ottima soluzione per un fine settimana fuori porta
Pros:

Posizione ottimale. Arredamento semplice ma curato. Piccole attenzioni come il te le caffè in camera o la possibilità di lasciare i bagagli prima di prendere la stanza.

Cons:

Camere calde. Materassa un poco molle per alcune schiene.

Wonderful small hotel, much better than its official rating
Pros:

I wonder why this Hotel has an official rating of only 2-stars. Maybe just because it does not feature 24h front desk service (it is open until 3 PM or so). It is way better: rooms are very spacious and spotlessly clean, equipped with a range of amenities normally found on higher-rating hotels such as fridge, boiler, coffee machine, selection of coffees, teas, herbal teas. Free drinking water with unlimited refills from a water fountain. Also full toiletry sets.
Very kind staff.
Very good continental breakfast in a small yet so well organized and tidy space.
Location couldn't be more convenient especially for tourists: it is right in the city historical center, steps away from the main squares and the most important monuments.
We will definitely come back to Hotel Leon d'Oro should we visit Mantova again.
In case you wonder about parking, the Hotel can provide a pass for the so-called ZTL (limited traffic area) where you may find a parking space very close to the Hotel but I did not request it: I found more practical not to hunt around for a parking space and park in the 'Parcheggio Gonzaga' instead, just outside the 'ZTL' and only 400 meters from the Hotel.

Pros:

Posizione eccellente, in pieno centro. La semplicità della struttura e il comfort. C'è tutto: bollitore e macchinetta del caffè, in camera; in bagno, oltre ai saponcini, ci sono anche il kit per i denti e le ciabattine. Nel corridoio c'è il goccione per l'acqua. Insomma, per noi il servizio è da 10.

Cons:

Ci è piaciuto tutto.
