Dont waste your money ,the bath tub in my suite was so nasty i nearly puked couldn’t shower or use the bathroom for my stay thats how bad this place is .And oh there’s no pool very deceiving .Just some dirty has been pool hole on the ground.
Stay was Okay , Everything is as described 100%
Please I will advise anyone that’s trying to stay at this motel not to book, because they are fraud, dirty, rude and unprofessional. On December 18 I book a room and when I got there they show me different room so I told them that’s not what I book,I showed my prove and everything still. They ask me to pay extra for another room and that’s even worse. I left the place and find myself another hotel called exotic palace hotel. Please save your money. Hotels.com needs to take it from their website. Check the review on google, you will know what I’m talking about
This hotel is a budget hotel with a little sophistication due to the multiple use of their key card. The rooms are spacious enough with in-built bathroom, a comfortable bed, flat screen, mini refrigerator and a desk. It's really cheap compared to most hotels in Accra; less than 150 gh cedis a nite!!! They do throw in a free breakfast which I recommend you remind them if you would want the free breakfast to avoid any disappointments. Don't expect a restaurant! Expect a cold shower!!
Don't expect the staff to be too formal and or sophisticated in their services; it's a budget hotel. They nonetheless aim to please. Avoid the pool and everything would be fine.
If you want your room to be re-cleaned simply ask after leaving your key with the receptionist. Expect toilet paper and lavish soap! You can expect a towel but I won't recommend using it!!
Don't expect world class treatment cos you are paying only 120 ghs cedis a nite. If you want sophisticated services expect to pay over 1000ghs cedis a nite in other hotels whose services ant always guaranteed.
Expect a vibrant location!!
This place is to be avoided. Rooms uncleaned, trash on the floor. The hotel said 24 hours shuttle. I waited from 9 pm until 1 am. In the middle of the night!! I end up paying $50 to get there. They said they are cannot come and get me. Most things said on the web are untrue. the pool is very dirty. Please avoid this hotel
The hotel shuttle picked me up from Achimota to the hotel and next morning to the USA embassy. Because i got there late, the Hotel restaurant had closed and alternate arrangements were made for me from a restaurant nearby. It was a wonderful night and breakfast was served on time.
Quite affordable and the staff are very helpful. Location is great as it is close to the airport, accra city centre, labadi beach and other tourist attractions in Accra. A good place if you are on a budget.
came here twice, both times were great, nice pool which was clean, quiet area, restaurant was closed, however they went and bought KFC for us and also our beer.
room basic but clean and nice. I think church is here on Sunday so may be the noise level could be more than what I found during my visit
Horrible...when was light off generator was always broken, the owner is cheap, the pool is dirty, lots of fraud business are going on there. The owner is into it and he is getting a percentage of it. The place is far away from the airport is not like is said in a description.
Should not be considered as a hotel but a church camp. There is even a church there and were having programs when I arrived. Reception poor, spent only one night.
Once again travelled to Accra to visit my family and friends and once again booked at stayed at Pemicsa hotel. The hotel andstaff were excellent had same room as previous visits so was just like second home. The hotel is central to main roads and easy reach resturants and cultural food stalls. Would recomend again and further trips I take will be staying there. The staff always smile and greet you happily and even owner manager is open to chat. My stay was for five weeks.
I stayed one night in this hotel after a booking by phone call. The guy at the reception was very professional with courtesy and pleasure to help me. The food was acceptable, room clean, A/C well working and water. There is no intermittent power outage as usually common in Accra. I enjoyed a very calm night.
My sister and I needed a place for the night because we got to Accra late, Read the reviews before deciding on the hotel and I must say it really is a nice place, nice quiet area and the staff were friendly especially the old man at the reception, when we checked out and called a cab, he volunteered to negotiate with the cab man so we wouldn't get cheated.
Only issue we had was the wifi, it wasn't working on that particular day and he said it was a tech problem from the network provider.
My wife booked us in after visiting and reveiwing the hotel. My wife being Ghanian and myself Australian the staff were excellant in their manner and hospitality. Roomwas spacious for the two of us and our baby. It is in location easyaccessby short cab ride to resturants in the area. I will stay there again with no hesitation when I go to get my family. Only thing found difficult was bed to soft but beds are never same as own at home. Would highly recomend.
Opted to stay here after being disappointed at a lodge. It's a nice place, warm ambience. I also enjoyed the WiFi as promised...it was a major relief.
Downside was the small TV in the rooms and echos with footsteps audibly heard on the corridor.
Value for money in summary.
I recently stayed at the hotel unexpectedly. I was not feeling well and was tired. I was staying at a friend's home that made it impossible to get rest one evening. I happen to stop in. I was surprised. I paid for my room, immediately got in the bed. The room was clean and secure, there was hot water. The staff was very helpful in many ways. I was even surprised that I received hot breakfast and assistance with charging my cell phone. The room was very clean! As stated by others close to public transportation, a short tro-tro ride from Ghana Mall and even down town Accra! Not far from Airport.
Stayed at this property twice in May. Reasonably priced property in a city of extravagant rates for visiting oil and mineral executives and businessmen on expense accounts. Located just off Spintex Road, close to airport and airport pick-up was arranged by email with the manager. Be sure to specify which type of room you want as the prices vary. I stayed in the King bed room. Bed was very comfortable. Lots of hot water. Bring shampoo etc. Close to the airport and about 15 minutes to the Accra mall by taxi. (traffic jams are a real headache in Accra so I found this location convenient to many places I had to visit like the Port.) I used the pool on both occasions. It was clean and refreshing, a real plus for the property as the weather was hot and humid. Wi-Fi was iffy. It worked on my arrival but went off during my stay. It was sorted out and worked with a dongle provided by staff. The place can be a bit noisy because of the design of the property. If you are a real light sleeper maybe stay elsewhere. There are fast food restaurants a short walk or taxi ride away. The hotel has its own generator but power outages were not a problem during my stays. Overall. I found this place because of the previous reviews and I was not disappointed. I would stay there again.
This hotel was almost completely empty when we stayed there. Friendly helpful staff with clean rooms. I would say value for money was average. It was in an area of Accra that I had never visited, very quiet and interesting to wander in. There is not too much to see but we were in transit so it didn't bother us too much. Negatives: the night we were there the wi-fi didn't work, the DSTV or satellite TV was patchy, the pool was empty and we found it a bit noisy in the am as the rooms are located around a tiled atrium so everything echoed (including the staff talking downstairs and the small child running around). We also couldn't get the hot water to work and had to ask for towels and to lock the patio door which had no key (you can either lock it or leave it unlocked,no offer of a key). The staff was very helpful but after having them run up and down fixing and bringing us things that were missing we resigned to having cold showers. I was heading to the airport the next day to meet some arriving colleagues and a staff member offered to drive me over in a hotel vehicle which I thought was great until he quoted me a price that was about 3x higher that what a taxi would have cost. I called him out on it and he lowered the price without arguing but it kind of sucked to have that interaction and feel cheated. Overall a comfortable stay but I would say definite room for improvement.
Am a Nigerian I like this Hotel,I stay for just one day am very much okay whit there services,The room was clean spacesiou good location. But the only thing I notice is the pool, Is at open place that anybody can come in an see who's swimming whic is not too good for a big hotel like Pemicsa.if there is anything the owner can do I'll advise him to do it concerning the pool.
My father and I stayed here for approximately 5 days in November 2012 after travelling around Ghana. This hotel is a hidden gem In Accra.
Excellent service, Good price. Good location - It is situated just off Spintex Road so it is within walking distance to restaurants and transport links. I.e. Tro tros. (We couldn't use taxi's in Ghana, as they all refused to do passenger taxis when they saw us (tourists) and demanded dropping taxis which were too expensive.)
The rooms were clean and spacious however the air conditioning did not work properly but the staff were willing to help fix this problem. Breakfast was good and the swimming pool is excellent which was especially needed after a day out in the sun. The staff were very accommodating and provided a free airport transfer (which saved us a lot of hassle).
Overall, this is an excellent hotel for the price and the best hotel we experienced across Ghana. I would highly recommend this hotel.
