Amazing location, best you can stay on the island! Right across from St Jean beach. The firendliest and most welcoming staff ever!! I would definitely stay here again and recommend anybody thinking about visiting to stay in the beautiful paradise hotel!!

I have traveled a great and stayed in many hotels. But the Tropical has one of the best service team I have ever witnessed. for example, my rental car had a dead battery when I went back to it about 830 one night. I fo phoned the hotel they sent the cab. But then they called the car rental company without me asking and had them pick up the car, charge it and bring it back to the hotel. Service over and above.
Also beautiful room, great food, wonderful pool and view. What more would you want?

My friend and I had the best time! The staff, especially the concierge was excellent and consistently accommodating. The hotel was beautiful, chic, and very aesthetically pleasing. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The breakfast was incredible and had lots of healthy options. The location was perfect, as many areas were within walking distance. Truly a 5 star experience; worthwhile. I highly recommend this hotel.

My husband and I chose St. Barth’s for my 40th birthday, and it was our very first visit—also our first trip away from our little one—so this getaway felt especially meaningful. The Tropical Hotel was the perfect place to stay and exceeded our expectations in every way.

Its location in Saint-Jean is unbeatable. We loved being able to walk to boutiques, spend time on the beach soaking up the sun and swimming in the crystal-clear water, then head to nearby beach clubs for lunch. The hotel’s pool was another highlight—ideal for relaxing before breakfast, unwinding after lunch, and easing into evenings before dinner and festivities.

The level of service truly set this hotel apart. Communication via WhatsApp was seamless and thoughtful; the team checked in on our flight status, greeted us upon arrival, and even held our luggage so we could immediately enjoy lunch and the pool. The concierge was outstanding, effortlessly handling dinner reservations, transfers, and car rentals, making the entire trip feel smooth and stress-free.

And the design—absolutely stunning. The décor perfectly blends Palm Beach elegance with chic Tulum vibes, creating a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere throughout the property.

We couldn’t have chosen a better home base for such a special milestone trip and can’t wait to return.

One of the best experiences in service we have ever had for the hotels. Love the design and the quality of it. The receptionists are amazing, super helpful, super kind. The waiters were very helpful with what to do in St Barth. If we come back to this island, would definitely stay here!

Horrific. I come to St Bart's every year and stay with friends near this hotel. Tonight was my third visit to Topical since they opened and unlike my two previous visits this one was horrific. Tonight all I wanted was a glass of wine or two in their lobby lounge. A middle-aged woman helped me find a table and I never saw her again. Nor did anyone else approach me for my order. I had to take myself up to the bar (I am almost the oldest Baby Boomer, so I am a little creaky) to ask for the wine, which was given to me at the bar, not brought to my table. There were one or two young men scurrying around the room, lighting candles but not the one at my table, and none of them ever said a word to me; I was completely ignored. I have often gone to the Remy bar at the Eden Rock, which is just down the hill; there I am always greeted, seated, order taken, and given a dish of something to nosh on. How Tropical can call itself a 5-star hotel is a mystery.. Maybe those who rate it highly have never been to a real 5-star place. When I finally asked a few young men if any of them was the manager, and none of them were, they listened to my complaint but I believe I heard the words "shift change". I had to teach them that an apology accompanied by an excuse is no longer an apology. I will never go to this hotel again.

I had warned everybody that we would return! Our 2nd visit to the Tropical Hotel St Barth didn't disappoint any of us. This second stay was chill and peaceful and perfect, once again. A special thanks to Pauline, Kelly, Marion and Barbara for their warm welcome and very good work. My daughters had the best idea ever: they offered me a facial treatment with Valérie . She is a kind of magician and my hour spent with her was definitely one of my best moments in St Barth. As we say in French, jamais deux sans trois, see u soon then!

Very nice hotel, in an excellent location, with a very friendly staff. Breakfast each day was delicious, with numerous food options, and great cocktails from the bar. Highly recommend.
