Hotel Grace

As per the showcased pictures of rooms, condition is not good. Lift facility is not available. We were quite disappointed during stay in Hotel. Service is ok

We had a very nice stay at Hotel Grace. The owner and front desk attendants were very kind and helpful. We arrived very early, at 6am, but were able to check in and have our room at that time. Excellent location to the Golden Temple and holy city. We also booked a driver through the hotel and it was very convenient as they took care of everything for us.

The hotel is located near from Golden Temple- the main tourism destination of Amritsar. Room was unexpectedly big, furniture is a bit old but otherwise everything very comfortable. There is no restaurant in hotel but you can find options nearby. Very good value for price.

Sraff were helpful particularly when we had to change our itiniery, they helped us find an alternative hotel as they were fully booked. However concerned that they debited our Visa account for our stay when we had alrady pre paid via Expedia. Still trying to sort out and get refund.

Deux chambres m'ont été proposées, l'une côté rue et l'autre côté cour. J'ai choisi celle côté cour, hyper calme, ça fait du bien!
L'essentiel est là : une salle de douche privée avec eau chaude (ballon), la wifi dans la chambre, une très grande chambre, et le personnel très sympa et à l'écoute, prêt à rendre service (très appréciable que la réception de l’hôtel accepte de changer un billet de 2000 roupies dont personne ne veut en billets de 100 roupies).
Et pour les plus exigeants, il y a l'air conditionné dans certaines chambres (moi je n'aime pas, je préfère les ventilateurs) et la TV.
Mais l'atout exceptionnel de cet hôtel est sa situation idéale a vraiment 2 pas du Golden Temple (et de la Poste principale aussi, ça peut être utile).
Attention, évitez de demander à la réception de vous trouver un chauffeur, vous payerez beaucoup trop cher, beaucoup plus cher que si vous vous débrouillez par vous même. Dommage.

We stayed at hotel grace for 5 nights over new year. The owners were very helpful in many ways. My father arrived a day early and they were able to provide him with accommodation at a busy time of year. The owners had excellent English and were very warm and hospitable, making sure that we had hot water and comfortable mattresses.

Basic accommodation with good location right by the Golden temple and shopping streets. Bed was hard as rock but otherwise the room was ok. Owner is a bit nosy but friendly.

Great place to say to visit the Golden Temple.
Shops and bazaars also around.

Crowded alleys, noisy traffic.
Rickshaws easily available.

Great location, minutes away from the Golden Temple. Surrounded by lots of shops and restaurants.
Rooms are basic but have everything you need.
