An excellent hotel I will gladly return to.
Pros:

A wonderful hotel where I stopped on my way to and from Greece. Located 50 meters from the town square. The hotel staff—the manager, reception, bar, and housekeeping teams—were all friendly and polite. The room was clean and comfortable. Very good breakfast. Secure parking, either in front of the hotel or in a facility provided by the hotel. Valet parking. Very good, stable internet connection. Excellent restaurant.

Top location, the rest is not what one could've expected from 4stars

During the check-in process the staff seemed to be unprepared and surprised that I arrived. Didn't feel welcome there at all.
The breakfast includes quite a few options, but in the end you don't know what to eat cause it doesn't look appealing. The staff at the restaurant seemed to be busier with charging their phones than making sure that the guests could take a seat next to a clean table.
The bathroom towels don't absorb the water...it is supposed to be cotton but to be washed in 40 degrees...that's not going to work. The hand wash containers are completely useless and should be replaced with something else. Using samples of shampoo and shower gel one per each day of your stay is super annoying. It would have been much easier for everyone and also cheaper to start using big bottles as it's commonly used in all other hotel chains. It's XXI century after all.
I was given a welcome drink voucher and when wanted to redeem it, I waited for like 20-30 minutes for anyone to show up in the summer garden. NO ONE showed up.
The housekeeping staff didn't even make my bed when they were there to clean up the room, they only took some garbage.
The reception is either completely deserted or packed with people who are actually making their work much harder for themselves.

Pros:

The staff is attentive and serves you with a smile. Very good value for the money, especially considering the prime location. I was very positively surprised when I got a free upgrade to bigger and more luxurious room.

Second Amazing Stay
Pros:

This was my second stay at Solun Hotel & Spa, and once again it was an excellent experience. The hotel is modern, spotless, and perfectly located within walking distance of Skopje's main attractions.

The room was comfortable, the spa was a great place to unwind, and the staff were friendly, professional, and always welcoming. The consistently high standard of service is what brought me back, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

​The room was on the smaller side and could benefit from deeper cleaning, as there were some dust and cobwebs. And the bathroom needs attention as well—there was noticeable limescale buildup, a persistent faint odor, and an open shower design that unfortunately floods the entire bathroom floor during use.
