Hotel Riu Plaza Berlin

The stay was good. What can be improved is the air conditioning, one room blows cold and the other hot, there is no change no matter how much the thermostat is changed. The worst thing for me in this hotel was that you can't open the windows, it's just criminal. It can always be made to open only the top and still be safe. My nasal lining will probably not heal for a month after 6 nights in this aquarium called an apartment. The pillow just remove them it's a cover just like no pillow. Of course, the shower is broken, but which hotel in the world actually has not broken showers.
Now the praise. You should know that the most expensive thing is the staff and yours is wonderful. Breakfast was seven on the six-point system. The staff were prepared for so many guests like a well oiled machine they were flying and smiling it was a pleasure just to watch them arrange the tables with precision in the detail to have everything even lined up with the edges of the table. I have never seen such a staff and I have been in many hotels all over Europe. They were also excellent at the reception.It is also good that the staff who clean the rooms know the day of departure for each day. Why does he have to come in to clean regularly at 9 o'clock in the morning, like at 12 o'clock the room has to be vacated and he has to come in again to clean.

My wife & I are big supporters of the Riu hotels. Our stay at the Riu Plaza Berlin was absolutely fantastic. There was a feeling & atmosphere of 'special', that's not to say other hotels within the group lack the 'special' but this 'special' just seemed different. The staff are welcoming & friendly, always ready with a warm greeting. The lounge is spacious & comfortable. The breakfasts are tasty with a good selection & for snacks or into the evening there are tapas & pizzas etc.
The Riu Plaza Berlin is ideally suited for the visitor to Berlin & is within walking distance to underground stations giving access to all the tourist sites & places of interest.
I would highly recommend a stay at this lovely hotel.

Very modern hotel. All staff we encountered were very friendly and accommodating. Busy breakfast room but still enough seating. Close to transport links. Room was clean and spacious.

We had a lovely time staying at the RIU Berlin. The rooms were great and the breakfast was delicious. We had to stay an extra night due to our flight being cancelled and Johann at reception was very helpful to us and organised everything for us. The only gripe I have is the lack of access to water in the room. Water can only be purchased at the hotel. The bar is small but nice and has lovely staff. I would reccommend the RIU Berlin, location is great and the rooms are modern and clean. The staff are helpful.

I’m in Berlin two or three times a year and for the last five years I’ve stayed nowhere else but the Riu Plaza. Great staff and very central for where I want to be

RIU lived up to their reputation with the RIU Plaza Berlin.
This was our first time in a Plaza hotel, having previously stayed in all inclusive Palaces, and it was fab.
Couldn’t fault anything, would recommend!
All the staff were friendly and very helpful, room was spotless, breakfast was yummy and the blackberry mojito was yummy 🤣

Lovely hotel. Great staff. Great facilities. Location was perfect. Slightly away from the centre so it was peaceful.

Very clean, very friendly staff, lifts very efficient. The breakfast was fantastic - great selection, delicious, plenty of seating.

Found the mattress worn and lumpy with mattress dipping causing you to roll in your sleep. No extra pillows available in the room.
The Breakfast was outstanding. Everything you need was present.
Would i return. Yes and hopefully sleeping on better mattresses and more pillows.

Just stayed there for a night. Was really nice and we enjoyed the time. Room was spacious, bathroom and toilet separated which makes life easier and the wifi worked.
We also booked breakfast which was really yummy (buffet style).
You can also park you car there for free. Then follow the instructions and signs as the way from the car park to the hotel is a bit funny. In the end we were successful and found what we were looking for.
Metro stop is in walking distance. Everything went well

Excellen hotel with good connections. Rooms were calm, quiet and clean. Will come back next time - hopefully quite soon!

This was our second time staying at this RIU and as always the hotel is very clean and comfortable. Bed is nice and firm and we had a great nights sleep. Breakfast is the usual offering from RIU plenty of hot and cold options and they have gluten free pancakes which are a treat. Overall great value for money for a short break.

Hotel was a perfect location, staff super friendly, especially Andres in restaurant, gluten free friendly, we went with a 12&16yr old and they loved it. Would definitely come back

Been here many times now with three visits planned in 2026. Came for Christmas and New Year, I can only repeat my previous reviews, perfect location for bars, restaurants and the subway. Super rooms, has everything you need, great bathroom and shower. Breakfast is excellent, can get busy but the team have it all under control, shout out to Ervan and also Priya (apologies if I have spelt your name wrong) for her friendly attentive welcome and conversation. This is a super hotel.

Average- poor, no coffeemaker in room, no Iron in room. limited towels. Fridge didn't cool well enough without leaving the cabinet door open, noisy Mattress springs. Good Location.

We went to Berlin for the Christmas Markets on a BA holiday with our granddaughter. Staying at the hotel RUI Plaza, it was one chosen from the BA list. The hotel and flight were amazing value for money. The room in the hotel was very comfortable, the bed was good with a separate space for our granddaughter. There were no extras, and only 1 bottle of water in the fridge. We were on the 12 th floor and although the hotel was very busy it was very quiet, one never had to wait long for a lift. The bar did very good light meals, we ate there twice. Breakfast was expensive but looked really good, we chose to walk to a local coffee shop which was much cheaper. The reception staff were excellent and very helpful, they advised us which restaurants to eat in within walking distance, both were excellent. We were able to leave our luggage on the last day after we had checked out. We were very glad we went back to Berlin which has changed enormously since we were last there, the week the wall came down. The Christmas markets were plentiful but nothing like as good as the ones in Vienna and the city itself is rather cold and stark, having been almost completely rebuilt. We would not go back again but would recommend the hotel RUI Plaza to anyone visiting.

Beautiful hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Great location close to shops, restaurants and public transport. The breakfast was exceptional with something for everyone. The room was lovely, very modern with a great view across the city. The bed was so comfy. Will definately return.

We stayed here for 3 nights, on arrival we were upgraded to a suite, the suite was superb a bedroom with bathroom shower and toilet, and a seperate lounge, with sofa tv and desk, aldo morewardrobes, despite gaving wardrobes in the bedroom, and another tv,
The breakfast buffet is extensive, with full english and continental, and all the staff are friendly and helpful.
The bar are is cosy, and does nice food, and they have a shop area at reception.
The underground is about 300 yds away, and there are plenty of restaurants locally.
Overall it was a fantastic stay at the Riu plaza berlin.
