I would recommend this hotel to everyone who is going to stay in Montreal.
Pros:

Carol was welcoming and friendly, and no request was too hard. She checked on us every morning at breakfast to ensure that everything was going well. All the other staff were helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was lovely. Our room was delightful, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The hotel had such lovely old world character, and felt like a home away from home. There were many places to eat nearby, and easy access to public transport.

Cons:

No complaints at all.

Great location but uncomfortable bed and slightly misleading listing
Pros:

The main part of the hotel is lovely. Nice old building, beautiful hardwood trim, and nice seating area. Great location.

Cons:

It was not clear from the listing that the private toilet/bathroom was located in the hallway... Also, the bed was quite uncomfortable.

Pros:

Friendly staff that had interesting knowledge about the place.

Cons:

Can hear people passing through hallways, though the halls were quiet after 11 so not a problem unless you're a light sleeper.

Pros:

Beautiful Agatha Christie-like decoration, sweetest staff ever (Carol!!), great breakfast and the opportunity to keep my lugagge after check-out made this my favorite hotel stay ever.

Cons:

The room wasn't very quiet. I could hear the people in the hallway as if they were in the room, as well as the outside noise. The room was very comfortable, but I could have slept better.
