Arrived around 9pm. Line to check in had about 50 people , waited 40 minutes to check in…line was still long at 10pm. Only two check in agents

One of the best decisions we made before arriving at DIA was staying at the Westin Denver International Airport. Despite a flight delay and chaos inside the airport, plus arriving at 02:00 am MST, walking two minutes after baggage claim to the Westin hotel was a blessing. Upon arrival at the hotel, the front desk agent was more than welcoming and helpful at that time in the morning and directed us to our room. Once we got to the room, we were more than thankful to have arrived at an executive suite on the 14th floor, with a panoramic view of DIA and its runway. The best treat is waking up in the morning fully rested, seeing the entire airport in motion, and being able to see this activity without any outside noise affecting your sleep.

As we continued our morning, we headed to Grill & Vine for breakfast, and all its team members were welcoming, friendly, and smiling at all times. The steak and eggs with chimichurri sauce were a great way to start the morning, and for loyal Marriott Bonvoy members, the breakfast voucher is priceless, covering two main entrees and drink/drink up to $50. After breakfast, we had the opportunity to take advantage of the jacuzzi and heated pool, where we had a chance to fully relax before we began our journey into the city, and their next-door gym is well equipped as well. Overall, it was a great way to start the morning the right way and continue our path for the rest of the weekend.

Finally, special thanks to Adrion and the rest of the Westin DIA team for all the attention to detail and assistance prior to our stay. It is definitely worth every penny to stay here, and I would also recommend using points to secure a room if needed, since all aspects of the hotel experience actually exceed the price that you pay for the room. I will definitely consider it for a future stay in DIA.

Although it was cold in the restaurant, the cheeseburger with fries were very tasty and warmed me right up!! My server Brandon was working his “you know what off” seating, drink orders, serving, bussing tables, following up with customers all with a very pleasant and friendly demeanor. I always have my layovers her and I’ll be back!!

Convenience to the airport.

If you’re flying out of Denver International, this is an incredible option. We arrived with a rental car; the valet kindly handled our bags and directed us to hotel check-in while my husband then returned the car to the rental car office nearby. I checked in with the gracious and accommodating Paris at the hotel’s Marriott Bonvoy desk. She was amazing and assisted us in so many ways during our far-too-brief stay at this wonderful hotel, including arranging for a wonderful porter to meet us in the lobby to assist us and our luggage directly to airport check-in the next morning. Our room was spacious, amenity-packed, quiet, and very comfortable. The view from our room of the action on the airport runways was a delight, as was the beautiful sculptures between the hotel and the airport. Another happy experience was the friendly yet professional Rion at the Sky Bar in the lobby. She made perfect martinis for us both and remembered our drink on Night 2. She’s a real treasure. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on night 1 where our waiter was quite good. The only weak link of our entire visit was the hostesses at the restaurant who seemed annoyed that we asked them to show us to a table for dinner (we chose to dine with Rion at the Sky Bar on night 2, based on the chilly “welcome” from the restaurant hostesses on night 1). We were dressed nicely and were not demanding—I guess everyone can have an off night…This is a wonderful hotel and we look forward to our next flight to Denver so we can experience more of it.
