La ubicación muy buena. Estaba limpio y con servicios básicos bien.

Better choices elsewhere
Pros:

When I booked it, I felt positive about the location being close to Central historical. But once there, I realized that other hotels inside the Centro were preferable and a note at any higher cost. This facility looks like it’s 30 years behind the times; while our room Did have a small sink and kitchenette, with a fridge yet the water pressure was terribly low-in the sink, There were no utensils and thus it rendered the use of the kitchen meaningless. The breakfast was decent.

Cons:

Very dated, old style, and not generally warm in atmosphere. The bedding and sheets were a little rough and lower quality.

Perfect location to explore central Oaxaca, comfortable nice-sized room
Pros:

Perfect location to explore central Oaxaca, walkable to many incredible restaurants (many of them are Michelin's recommended). Friendly staff. On-site restaurant set in a lovely courtyard covered with plants/trees; food is just ok, though the hot chocolate is very good, as to many other restaurants; so make sure get some Oaxacan chocolate home — we picked up ours at a little shop inside a cute shopping alley one street over.

I would definitely stay here again!
Pros:

The hotel was beautiful and centrally located. The staff was very friendly and professional. The food at their restaurant was delicious and I loved the guacamole!

Hotel Áltamente Recomendable
Pros:

Nos gusto mucho la excelente atención y amabilidad de todo el personal, en general.
Siempre con una sonrisa y dispuestos a ayudar.
El hotel, en general, espectacular, los desayuno deliciosos y la habitación preciosa y muy cómoda.
La ubicación es extraordinaria. Desde el hotel se puede recorrer todo el centro caminando.

Cons:

Podría mejorarse la política del restorán, con poco esfuerzo y a bajo costo. Por ejemplo con el desayuno incluido te ofrecen café pero, si no tomas café y prefieres té, no te lo incluyen y tienes que pagarlo por separado; lo mismo, si en lugar de un pan tostado con mantequilla y mermelada pides un pan de dulce, lo tienes que pagar. Creo que no se ahorran mucho con eso y si lo aceptaran, la percepción del huésped sería más positiva.

The hotel location is excellent and the staff very helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was that the room location was the first room on the first floor, just across from the reception, so we could hear the hotel music and restaurant and we could never open the curtains. We will definitely go back to this hotel but we'll make sure to request a room deeper into the hotel or on the second floor. Wifi was a bit sketchy but it was a holiday weekend and it could've been that too many people were using it.

Highly recommend for a wonderful stay in Oaxaca! Would definitely stay at Casa Vertiz on out return visit to Oaxaca.
Pros:

Everything! The staff in reception, door security and housekeeping were all welcoming, helpful and friendly. The room was immaculate, bed very comfortable, and the shower was great. The location is perfect, adjacent to great restaurants, bars, cafes, art galleries, museums, the beautiful Santa Domingo church, all walkable in minutes. Great WiFi! Supplied water bottles daily.

Cons:

Maybe add a second suitcase stand in the room but otherwise can’t think of anything.

Safe, clean and a little overpriced
Pros:

10 minutes walk to Zocalo, markets and many attractions. When we arrived we had a small welcome gift of chocolates and mixed makers plus 2 bottles of water in our room. Very nice. Excellent staff, good food at the restaurant for breakfast.

Cons:

When we arrived in the evening, the restaurant was closed, as it is only open 8am-12:30pm. This was not clear when we booked. The price was $850CAD for 3 nights mid January, which felt expensive for the simple room.

Pros:

Excellent location in Oaxaca, nice rooms, great shower! Overall, a really great property for a stay in Oaxaca.

Cons:

It was a shame that the rooftop bar wasn’t open. But only minor issue in great stay.
