Swiftlets Inn

We stayed at Swiflets Inn for two nights, and unfortunately, it was the worst hotel we stayed in during our trip around the Philippines.
The hotel currently feels like a construction site, with several areas seemingly under repair. This made some of the walkways unsafe, with cracked and lifted tiles that could easily cut your feet if walking barefoot (see photos for reference).
Our room had multiple issues. The bathroom had no ventilation and smelled damp throughout our stay unless we kept the window by the front door open — which only felt safe to do while we were in the room. We also noticed a significant number of bugs, including ants and drain bugs. When we raised this with management, they appeared unconcerned by our complaints.
The shower was another problem: the water temperature was inconsistent, often turning cold, and the water pressure was virtually non-existent. We also heard complaints from other guests regarding the lack of clear communication about the breakfast. Guests were not informed that if they wanted something different, it had to be ordered the day before — otherwise, they were given whatever they ordered on their first day.
Given the number of rules posted inside the rooms, I would suggest the hotel also follow some basic hospitality standards themselves — such as ensuring rooms are thoroughly cleaned, properly ventilated, and safe for guests.

Very comfortable hotel. Good deal for the price. Room is comfortable and clean, nice bathroom and good breakfast. Everyone was very friendly.

Nice, clean hotel within walking distance of all the “hot spots” of El Nido. Good breakfast and cold AC. Water pressure a little lacking but otherwise really good place to stay.

I like everything.. from the linens to the smell of the room. It’s relaxing. We had bath tub in our bathroom – a plus. It was a nice. Near to the center of El Nido. I wanna be back!

För att vara ett budget hotell var vi positivt överraskade. Fräscht, bra frukost som serveras på beställning utanför rummet. Fanns klädhängare utanför var rum för blöt tvätt vilket är bra då det saknas balkonger. Man har ett litet bort i stället med stolar utanför rummet. Dåligt tryck på vatten i duschen dock samt mycket lyhört så ha öronproppar! Annars var allt mycket bra! 10 min promenad ner till havet i stan. 10 min med tricycle till Las Cabanas stranden.

Thought this was a great hotel. Nice room with a tv and good air con and a comfy bed. Provided breakfast but we weren’t able to have it as we were leaving early to try see some turtles hatch. Thank you to the lady who helped me get a taxi early as we were in such a rush and I didn’t see you to say thank you. Unfortunately we had booked another hotel to stay in down the road for the rest of the trip and it is nowhere near as nice as Swiftlets so would advise anyone to book here. Great location to El Nido town too.
