Location ideal for sightseeing and restaurants
Room was clean and fresh
Check in staff very pleasant and helpful
Buffet breakfast very disappointing all cooked items were cold, fresh tomatoes were burnt, mushrooms dried out,
we were sitting for 8.30am, so experience cold cooked items not acceptable
A very noisy room, loud conversations and arguments in the street, midnight, 1.00am, 3.00am, bins (bottles) being emptied 6.30/7.00am
Good location
Everything fine. Couldn’t fault it
Friendly , clean , good location, good breakfast
Room was lovely, located in a great part of York a short walk from the centre.
The Wi-Fi was poor
The hotel location is excellent for exploring York. Lots of great places to eat withinin very short distance. Staff very attentive and pleasant to deal with. We had a problem with the heating in the room and a safe that didn't work, these were both sorted out with no fuss. Breakfast was very good, the only downside was that most of the cooked items werte cold.
The Hotel has a restaurant on the ground floor and a longe area. The restaurant was empty every night, we stayed for 4 nights and the lonuge was also empty, this meant that there was no atmosphere that would entice you to have a drink or a meal.
Everything
N/A
The staff made this hotel luckily for IHG, I wouldn’t have put the scores I did on this review if it wasn’t for the staff as they were outstanding especially the Russian girl who did everything to support my stay (sorry I should have wrote her name down). I have worked in a customer experience role for all of my working career so you always look at attention to detail and all the little bits that make up what adds value to a customers experience.
The room was clean however the noise throughout the night and early morning was not great and ruined the experience, running showers in the rooms nearby, banging through the floors and walls, doors banging and hotel staff taking items in and out of a room behind constantly created a poor experience overall sadly.
Friendly staff
Probably could do with a better lounge area for residents
Breakfast was nice but not as nice as it was I indigo Leeds the week before,
The staff where nice, and it smells so nice
Breakfast, it ran out of things quickly
Hotel Indigo is a great place to stay when visiting York. Just a 20min walk from the train station easy to find and out of the centre just enough so it’s quiet at night. Within easy walking distance for most of Yorks tourist attractions.
The room was comfortable and clean. Good choice for breakfast and all the staff were pleasant and friendly.
Nothing.
