I would look no further. Great hotel
Pros:

It is my second time staying at an Indigo hotel in two different cities. And both times I was very happy with my stay.
Clean rooms, professional and kind staff. Fantastic location.
Complimentary snacks and water.
The hotel provides hair conditioner in the bathroom, which you very rarely see - it's usually just shampoo and shower gel. I feel like the hotel just takes care of everything you may need for a pleasant and relaxing stay, without hassle, so you can focus on what's important.

Cons:

The pillows were too soft for me, but I guess that's just personal preferences

Hotel is nice but the room we got was just not up to standard for the price paid.
Pros:

Nice location, communal areas were quite nice. Lovely shower.

Cons:

The room was very dated, had tacky chocolate themed graphics on the wall and furnishings were old and worn. The lighting in the room was dark and a bit dingy. The tiny court type area our room looked onto on the ground floor was awful. Graffiti, dirty plant pots with dead plants and litter on the floor. Looked like it had been that way for quite some time and it honestly feels lazy, it’s an easy thing to fix up and would have made a big difference. We stayed at this hotel a few years back and had a lovely room but the one we stayed in this time just wasn’t up to standard and definitely not worth the price we paid to stay, expected much more.

Lovely, vibrant city of York with the Indigo Hotel adding to the wonderful weekend we had there.
Pros:

10 minute walk into the centre of York. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of freshly cooked food.

Cons:

The Hotel has no parking on site but you can park 3 minutes away for £16.50p per 24 hours.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel for my partners birthday trip to York 😊
Pros:

Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Location was excellent and central to York. The breakfast menu was fantastic with lots of different options for everyone. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting York.

Pros:

We had a fantastic stay from the moment we arrived. Although our room wasn’t quite ready, the staff were more than happy to store our luggage so we could head out and explore York. When we returned, the room exceeded our expectations — spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared with lovely extras such as slippers and robes, a touch many hotels overlook.
Breakfast was excellent, offering a wide selection of both hot and cold dishes, along with an additional à la carte menu. We were seated and served quickly, and the team worked efficiently to keep everything clean and well‑stocked. Nothing was too much trouble.
After checking out, the staff again offered to store our luggage so we could continue exploring before heading home. Throughout our stay, they were attentive, friendly, and genuinely customer‑focused.
We would highly recommend this hotel and are already planning our next visit.

Fine apart from the lack of service for the breakfast

Cons:

I’ve stayed at Indigo on a couple of occasions and never found reason for complaint but after paying extra on the occasion of St Patrick’s day celebration,s. I was disappointed to find that breakfast was a buffet. Some of the food was overcooked or cold or both. Which spoiled what should have been a pleasant stay after previous experiences. When the breakfast was made to order served at your table and was hot and edible.

Pros:

The location is good and staff are all good and friendly people

Cons:

Breakfast was average I had to wait for cereal bowls, the natural yoghurt container was empty as was the the orange juice. The Eggs Beniny was average so not a great experience.

Great location, lovely staff, just a bit chaotic at breakfast!
Pros:

Great location, receptionist from Newcastle was so friendly and very helpful on advising where to park as the hotel car park was full. Thank you so much for your help 👍Beautiful smell throughout the hotel too !

Cons:

Our room was very warm so opened the windows and unfortunately we’re above the kitchens and air con so very noisy from 6am.
Breakfast was very nice but had to wait 15 minutes very chaotic, no plates, no orange juice, glasses or milk, not enough staff to cover the busy period !
