This historic hotel was a pleasant day. The history is very interesting, but we did not hear or see any ghost lol
We love the town we love the hotel in the next time we come back we'll spend 2 days so we can explore it.
Great property
Our room was directly below the bright Mizpah Hotel Sign and there are not sufficient curtains in the room. It was bright all night long amd sleep was difficult.
Location and staff
Rooms were not very nice. Bathtub not working well.
The blanket was very thin.
Super cozy and clean!
Needed reservations at the restaurant..
In a historic hotel, it can be a crap shoot - but this hotel paid attention to quality and details (and also cleanliness!)
The bar area was lovely and the bartender/server was perfect. It was a great place to sit, read, and have a glass of wine and nibbles. (AND there was an elevator!)
The room descriptions were so off it was laughable - room size 3400+ sq feet! LOL!
Also no bath robes were found in the room although they were listed.
It would be good to identify which rooms have little frigs.
The Mizpah is a historical landmark and very comfortable for such an old establishment. Quirky, beautiful. It has a nice lounge with terrific bar staff.
The hospitality was first rate.
Close to the event I was attending
I had to ask to change rooms because the one I was given was super noisy. Some kind of machinery or fan making an annoying noise. the room I was given was tiny and no way to get fresh air in the room. The curtains were broken. Just not as good as the other times I have stayed at the Mizpah. Oh -- I asked for a wake up call and it never happened. I was disappointed. And Folgers room coffee...????
The history
Nothing
Location historical background
Older plumbing a little leaky and toilet ran but to be expected from plumbing that old
The beautiful historical building and furniture
The Pittman Cafe was way too expensive and why would you serve meals on paper plates??? The man who checked us in was just a bit strange and not that friendly.
Everything. Especially the staff.
The people in the room next door slamming the door all night and talking loudly the entire night
The Historic Mizpah Hotel is the queen of Tonopah. It maintains its classic feel, as if you'd expect a gunslinger to come through its doors. The sitting area by the bar is great for people-watching. We had a very nice dinner in the Jack Dempsey dining room.
The rooms are a bit small, and the claw-footed tub, while interesting, was difficult to get in and out of for a shower. We were disappointed in the Pittman Cafe and its Express Menu; everything was served on paper plates, and there were a limited choice of food items. The last time we were at the Mizpah the cafe offered traditional service and a better selection.
