Wobbly table, confusing reception

The room was quite dusty in areas and wardrobe very small. I had to hang my dresses from bathroom door casing.

Room no7 on top floor was adjacenct to very noisy people which is not the hotels fault but the doors slamming could be mitigated with soft closures.also the drip from the toilet should be looked at as this was difficult to ignore and therefore made a very disruptive sleep

Breakfast very different and disappointing compared to evening meal.
One member of staff, very slow service and not attentive to customers needs such as refilling drinks and topping up breakfast buffet.
Menu for bfast buffet included danish pastries- only croissants each day, selection of cheeses = plastic wrapped individual cheddar or Red Leicester which were average quality. Tea and cafetière coffee very very weak.
Sausages claimed to be Cumberland were heavily seasoned with sage- more like Lincolnshire sausages. Not a traditional peppery Cumberland at all. Bacon oven done and obviously sat keeping warm for a while as very hard and dry.

Unfortunately woken by faulty Fira alarm at 6am with very slow response from off site night team - taking over an hour to action, alarm finally checked and silenced at 07:10

Yes I should have checked the size of the room, my error. However in my defence room 6 is described as “Deluxe”.
Be aware room 6 is in the roof and very small. There is nowhere to place suitcase. The “over dressing” of the room looks good for a photo shoot but not practical when space is at a premium, cushions; throws; plastic flowers & nick knacks are not necessary.
Room 6 faces the back of the property, the weather was hot so the small window needed to be open as there is no air con (I was not expecting air con). The window is above the kitchens extraction fan! There is a lot of noise but does stop when the kitchens finish around 21:00 BUT the kitchen smells “frying” do not!
A small powerful fan was provided however there was nowhere to place it for any benefit once the curtains were closed as it was positioned on the cluttered windowsill. The extractor fan in the en-suite was not working however my husband fixed that by cleaning it.
In the morning, thankfully for us after we had showered, the power to the building went off. These things happen! however we received no apology for any inconvenience, the women who took our key was more concerned that she was not going to able to make up the bills before customers needed to leave. Our bill had already been paid.

Ich habe im Restaurant für zehn Pfund Reservierungsgebühr einen Tisch reserviert. Diese Gebühr wurde mir beim Zahlen der Rechnung nicht gutgeschrieben. Darauf habe ich hingewiesen. Daraufhin wurde die Gebühr erneut berechnet und dann am gleichen Tag einmal gutgeschrieben. Ich habe sie also am Ende einmal bezahlt, obwohl ich dort gegessen habe und die Gebühr hätte gutgeschrieben geschrieben werden müssen. Deswegen meine schlechte Beurteilung. Ich habe auch eine Mail geschickt und hier über Nachrichten angefragt. Es kam keine Antwort.
