not good at all
The room was dirty and very basic. The resort was run down and we were the only guest placed in a wing with room right at the far end of the corridor.
It was frightening to return to a empty wing each night for the 3 nights we stayed there!
We have upgraded our room to new executive room, new building. Old building had bad smell in the rooms. New rooms are clean and decent. Have to pay 400thb extra per night, charged higher price than hotels.com. Friday night, the hotel have karoke room reserved. Even the party was too far, bass and music sound came to room till 3am, couldn't sleep. It suppose to be nature and relax holiday but have to listen bass sound till morning. The head waiter in dinning hall, he was very nice. Greet us and serve us nicely. Overall not bad, nature is great. Walk around all the way to the hills, nice walk and sightseeing. Horses, sheeps...
its a beautiful area and lavish land around the resort. The room was simple and basic appeared as a 2* especially with stacked mattresses and cleaning equipment right outside of the room. Staff was accommodating for the most of the part, however, not helpful at all to book the massage nor flexible with offering a better room. They charge to rent a bike for old not well kept bikes, nevertheless, its needed and worthwhile to explore the area
The bungalow was bad maintenance. The food from room service were terrible. Breakfast was low quality.
Massive resort, almost a mini village! If you stay during a Thai holiday i.e, Song gran expect it to be busy and a good selection of food during their inclusive breakfast. Otherwise it’s very quiet here and the menu is reduced. Eating out is a better option. Many activities to do though including Archery , B.B. guns and ATV to ride on, good for kids with adventure parks onsite and farm animals to feed.
The area is very secluded, you definitely need a car though to experience the 3 waterfalls close by - of which one is straight out of a Bounty advert! A few markets close by and lots of restaurants with live bands down in Nakhon Nayok town. Visit the Dam ! It’s huge, designed by the late great King.
This area is a local place to retreat to from Bangkok. About 75km from sukhumvit about 1 hour 30 mins drive. Worth it if you want peace.
Staff of no help generally. Check in does not know about my Expedia pre paid booking. Restaurant on site is terrible despite many staff being present and us being the only people in the huge place for dinner. It was Monday night.
The area of the hotel is quiet large. Overall condition of the hotel and equipment of the activities are quiet old. Service was ok.
In my booking was WiFi included, but Hotel want to charge Bht.100 for 1 day. Asking extra 2 Pillows and Hotel want to charge Bht.50 each. After a few minute argument I got them for free.
Food & Service @the restaurant was OK, only too much mosquitoes.
Not accommodating staff
Room cabinet not swept/cleaned
Room is in baf condition
Aircon dripping
Hot water is boiling hot
This is a large resort complex with many wings. It largely caters for groups. Overall the resort is at the low end of the market. Some wings look reasonable but when booking through Expedia, I was given a very old room with a very strong smell of mould in both the room and the passage. The staff were aware of the issue and offered to spray the room. After I insisted on a change of room to another wing, I was put in a room that didn’t smell. They obviously had lots of rooms available. The price was twice what I regard as reasonable and my Thai friends thought that it was only worth a quarter of the rate on Expedia. The food in the restaurant was not fresh. Expedia customers appear to be very low priority for this resorts management.
I was expecting lot more, staff we're no thanks very helpfully nd the whole place wS run down and a Burberry shabby but we still had a nice time and bed was comfy, scenery beautiful
Most of it was good except the water heater for the shower didn't work the next morning.
Large hotel in good location for sight-seeing, very close to water falls and near to the Dam. Hotel may not be new, but it has a great character, best reception area I've ever seen. Hotel has large grounds with activities, also nice swimming pool. Recommended.
Sida was just what we needed for a relaxing weekend. Huge property with extensive grounds to walk around and take in the fresh air. Plenty of activities for children as well as adults. If want a short country break, good venue.
worth it.
